UI/UX Design Intern

We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic UI/UX Design Intern who is passionate about designing meaningful digital experiences. This internship is ideal for students or recent graduates who want to gain practical experience in UI/UX design while working on a real SaaS product.

As a UI/UX Design Intern, you will work closely with our founders and development team to design intuitive interfaces for our web dashboard and mobile applications. You will help improve user journeys, create wireframes and prototypes, design user interfaces, and ensure a consistent design language across the product.

Success in this role means creating user-friendly designs, improving usability, collaborating effectively with developers, and continuously learning modern design practices while contributing to a fast-growing startup.

Responsibilities

• Design clean, modern, and intuitive user interfaces for web and mobile applications.
• Create wireframes, user flows, mockups, and interactive prototypes using Figma.
• Improve existing product screens based on usability and user feedback.
• Maintain consistency across the product by following design systems and UI guidelines.
• Collaborate closely with developers to ensure accurate implementation of designs.
• Conduct competitor research and gather inspiration for better user experiences.
• Identify usability issues and recommend practical improvements.
• Design reusable UI components, icons, and layouts.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions for new features and product enhancements.
• Organise and maintain Figma files and design assets.
• Stay updated with the latest UI/UX trends, accessibility standards, and design best practices.
• Take ownership of assigned tasks and deliver quality work within timelines.
  
  

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Design, Computer Science, Information Technology, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of UI/UX principles and user-centred design.
• Familiarity with Figma is preferred.
• Knowledge of wireframing, prototyping, typography, spacing, colour theory, and visual hierarchy.
• Good creativity, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Portfolio showcasing personal, academic, or freelance work is preferred but not mandatory.
