About the Role
The company is seeking a UI/UX Designer based in Switzerland to create intuitive interfaces and engaging player journeys for mobile games. You will design a wide range of in-game experiences, including game screens, heads-up displays (HUDs), menus, stores, live events, and monetization features.
Working closely with game designers, artists, and developers, you will turn creative concepts into polished, production-ready designs. You will also contribute to design systems, reusable UI components, and the quality of implementation across mobile platforms, helping improve usability, player engagement, and the overall gaming experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Design intuitive user flows and engaging interfaces that deliver a seamless mobile gaming experience.
- Create wireframes, UI concepts, prototypes, and production-ready designs aligned with gameplay requirements and product objectives.
- Design in-game screens, HUDs, menus, stores, live events, monetization features, and other elements of the player journey.
- Build, maintain, and improve UI kits, component libraries, and design systems to support consistency and efficient workflows.
- Prepare and optimize visual assets for integration into game engines while meeting technical requirements and production standards.
- Collaborate with game designers, artists, and developers throughout the production lifecycle.
- Work with development teams to ensure accurate design implementation and maintain visual and functional quality.
- Refine user flows and interface solutions based on project requirements, team feedback, player behavior, and changing priorities.
- Apply UX principles and visual design best practices to improve usability, accessibility, engagement, and navigation.
- Contribute to improvements in game systems and user experiences that support product goals and player satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in UI/UX design, particularly for mobile games.
- Strong understanding of UX principles, user journey mapping, interaction design, and intuitive user flows.
- Proficiency in Figma or comparable interface design tools, including wireframing, prototyping, and production-ready design.
- Solid knowledge of visual composition, typography, color theory, layout, and visual hierarchy.
- Understanding of mobile platform requirements, responsive interface design, and different screen sizes.
- Experience creating and maintaining design systems, UI kits, reusable components, and consistent interface libraries.
- Familiarity with free-to-play (F2P) products, gameplay loops, player behavior, engagement, and monetization.
- Experience preparing visual assets for game engines and working with Unity in a game development environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and respond to constructive feedback.
- A portfolio demonstrating relevant UI/UX design experience, preferably with mobile game interfaces and interactive user experiences.
- Creativity, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to balance visual quality with usability and technical requirements.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and contribute effectively in a remote, fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced proficiency in Figma and its design and prototyping capabilities.
- Experience working on large-scale live casual or midcore game projects.
- Experience designing UX for complex game systems, live operations (LiveOps), and evolving in-game experiences.
- Familiarity with analytics, A/B testing, and user testing to evaluate designs and improve player engagement.
Salary & Benefits
- Flexible benefits budget that can be allocated to health insurance, professional education, gym memberships, or other options supporting personal well-being and development.
