Want to challenge yourself in a high-growth start-up with a mission to change drinking culture?

We’re hiring our very first Sales and Brand representative for the UK.

About Heaps Normal

We're normalising mindful drinking by brewing beer that tastes so good, you won't miss the alcohol. We’re not here to talk about being sober or hold that up as the end goal. Whether you’re taking a night off or ditching the booze for life, we reckon it’s time to talk about something more interesting...like the epic stuff you’re doing instead of getting wasted. Whether it’s burning the midnight oil or burning up the dance floor, let’s challenge ourselves to tell better stories.

Heaps Normal is an independent, non-alcoholic Australian beer company, brewing real beer without the hangover. As a B Corp-certified business, we’re proud to be part of a global community using business as a force for good. We’ve just launched our Beer in the USA and are looking for the first employee in the market to join our global expansion.

Our values

Shout the first round: Give first and be a good human. We don’t wait to be asked. We go out of our way to do what’s right for our team, our community and our environment.

Return the empties: We never walk past a problem. Whether it’s a spot fire or a raging inferno, we run towards the fire.

Build each other up: We look after ourselves and look out for our mates. This means investing in people, always putting family first and elevating those we interact with.

Question normal: Walk a mile in their shoes and try to see things from an alternative point of view. Your normal may not be my normal, and normal today may not be normal tomorrow.

About the role

Employment Type: Full-time

Location: Remote, London

Manager: Chief Growth Officer

As our UK Territory Manager, you'll be at the forefront of growing Heaps Normal in the UK, with a primary focus on driving new business and building our presence across London's on-premise market.

You'll be responsible for identifying opportunities, getting our beers into new venues, developing existing customers and working closely with our wholesale partners to unlock further growth.

While winning new accounts will be your bread and butter, you'll also have the opportunity to build your experience managing larger customers, supporting wholesale relationships and contributing to our broader UK commercial strategy.

You'll be our main person on the ground in the UK, working closely with our international team while taking real ownership of day-to-day market activity.

We're a small, ambitious team, which means there won't always be someone else to hand things over to. You'll need to be resourceful, adaptable and happy to jump between sales, account management, events and whatever else the market throws at you.

This is a role for someone who wants more than just a territory to manage. It's an opportunity to help build a market and grow with the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Winning new business and growing distribution
  • Get out in the field and proactively identify, pitch and win new accounts across London's pubs, bars, restaurants, hospitality groups and independent retailers.
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of prospective customers, taking opportunities from first conversation through to first order and ongoing sales.
  • Develop relationships with venue owners, managers, buyers and decision-makers to establish Heaps Normal as a must-stock non-alcoholic beer.
  • Identify opportunities to expand distribution through hospitality groups, multi-site operators and new routes to market.
  • Work towards clear sales, distribution and new business targets, with a strong focus on converting opportunities into sustainable, repeat business.

2. Developing key accounts & wholesale partnerships

  • Build strong relationships with our existing wholesale and distribution partners, helping drive distribution, visibility and sales through their networks.
  • Work alongside wholesalers and their sales teams to identify new opportunities, open accounts and keep Heaps Normal front of mind.
  • Support the development of larger customers and hospitality groups, including account planning, promotional activity and ongoing relationship management.
  • Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts through improved ranging, increased rate of sale and wider distribution.
  • Take on increasing responsibility for key customer relationships as the UK business grows

3. Bringing the brand to life

  • Be the face of Heaps Normal in the UK, representing the brand with energy, authenticity and enthusiasm.
  • Plan and execute tastings, trade events, festivals, sampling opportunities and brand activations.
  • Build relationships across the hospitality, music, arts and cultural communities to identify partnerships that make sense for the brand.
  • Deliver product education and staff training to help venues confidently recommend and sell Heaps Normal.
  • Work closely with our marketing team to ensure local activities build both brand awareness and commercial results.
  • Be willing to get hands-on with everything from event setup and pouring beers to organising samples and supporting customers.

4. Owning the market & making things happen

  • Act as our eyes and ears on the ground, identifying trends, opportunities, challenges and competitor activity.
  • Take ownership of day-to-day UK market execution, proactively solving problems and keeping things moving.
  • Manage your territory, priorities and schedule independently, balancing new business development with existing customer needs and brand activities.
  • Work closely with the international commercial team to share market insights, identify opportunities and contribute to UK growth plans.
  • Track and report on sales performance, new account wins, pipeline development and key commercial activities.
  • Bring ideas to the table and challenge how we do things. We're a growing business and want someone who will help shape the way we operate.

Key Competencies:

  • Passion for music and hospitality industries and culture
  • Self-Motivated & Entrepreneurial Mindset
  • Strong Sales & Negotiation Skills
  • Excellent Relationship & Stakeholder Management
  • Brand Ambassador & Storytelling Ability
  • Strategic Thinking & Problem-Solving
  • Adaptability in a Fast-Paced, Competitive Market
  • High-Level of Energy & Passion for Building Brands

Why you should join Heaps Normal

  • An opportunity to be a key player in launching and growing a brand in the U.K. market
  • Four weeks of Annual leave and one week of life leave to give you that added flexibility to live your best life.
  • Annual professional development budget to ensure you have the support you need to level up.
  • Access to mental wellbeing services for you and your family through our Employee Assistance Program provider, Frankie Health.
  • Inclusive parental leave policy which supports all types of families. Includes paid leave for both primary and secondary carers and return to work assistance to match your personal needs.
  • Know that you’re contributing to a positive impact. We donate 2% of our revenue to charitable organisations with a shared purpose.
  • Paid volunteer time off and matched giving to empower you to give back to your local community.
  • Annual offsites and regular social events to keep you connected with your teammates, wherever you’re located.
