About the Client Our client is a UK-based chartered accountancy firm. The firm provides accounting, tax, audit, cloud accounting, payroll, business advisory, and related services, primarily supporting small and medium-sized businesses. The Role As a UK Year-End Accounts Preparer , you will be responsible for preparing accurate year-end financial statements for UK clients in line with FRS 102 Section 1A , including reconciliations, disclosures, and supporting working papers. You'll work closely with the accounting team and clients to resolve queries, ensure compliance, and deliver accounts on time, using platforms such as TaxCalc and Xero . What You'll Do Prepare year-end accounts for UK-based clients in compliance with FRS 102 1A Draft and review financial disclosures and statutory reports Reconcile balance sheet accounts including deferred income, accruals, and other key items Work closely with the internal team and clients to ensure accurate financial reporting and timely delivery Use TaxCalc and Xero to prepare and submit financial information Assist in finalizing accounts and resolving any compliance-related issues What We're Looking For Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on experience preparing UK year-end accounts Strong understanding and practical experience with FRS 102 1A Solid grasp of balance sheet concepts including deferred income and accruals Proficiency in TaxCalc and Xero is highly preferred Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines independently Strong communication and collaboration skills Nice to Have Experience working with UK accounting firms or offshore teams supporting UK clients Ability to adapt to remote working tools and communicate clearly in a distributed team Why This Role This role is a strong opportunity for an experienced UK accounting professional to deepen their expertise in year-end accounts preparation and FRS 102 1A compliance while working with UK clients.
