Role Description This is a part-time, remote Under Grad / Grad Web Development – Unpaid role. The role involves supporting the design, development, and maintenance of web-based features and interfaces for SJA Pathway platforms, under the guidance of senior team members. Day-to-day tasks may include implementing front-end components, assisting with back-end functionality, debugging and testing web applications, and collaborating on user experience improvements. The individual will have opportunities to contribute to live projects, participate in code reviews, and document technical work for future reference. This role is intended to provide practical, portfolio-ready experience for students seeking real-world web development exposure.
Qualifications

• Ability to work with core Web Development concepts across the stack, including familiarity with both Front-End Development and Back-End Web Development.
• Foundational skills in Front-End Development and Web Design, with an understanding of responsive layouts, usability, and basic accessibility.
• Introductory experience in Back-End Web Development, such as working with APIs, databases, or server-side frameworks.
• Strong Communication skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote environment and document work clearly.
• Currently enrolled in or recently completed an undergraduate or graduate program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Basic proficiency with modern web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and at least one framework or library) and version control tools such as Git.
• Demonstrated interest in AI-powered platforms, startups, or digital products, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and workflows.
• Reliable internet connection and ability to manage part-time hours alongside academic or other commitments.
