US Compensation & Benefits Specialist (Remote)

Job Title: US (Multi-States) Compensation & Benefits Specialist (Remote) Job Overview: Serving as the organization's Paycom (HRIS) subject matter expert, this role administers the systems that power payroll, benefits, time and attendance, and HR reporting, and continuously improves those workflows as the company grows. Sitting within Finance & Accounting and partnering closely with the People & Culture team, this position is the trusted bridge between payroll operations, benefits administration, and financial reporting Responsibilities: Process accurate bi-weekly, multi-state payroll for 350+ employees using Paycom. Review timecards, PTO, bonuses, commissions, deductions, and other payroll adjustments. Manage employee benefits, 401(k), COBRA, and enrollment activities. Reconcile payroll, benefits invoices, 401(k) contributions, and payroll taxes. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll and labor regulations. Serve as the primary Paycom administrator and maintain HRIS access and records. Prepare payroll reports, audits, journal entries, and documentation for Finance and HR. Support payroll tax registration when expanding into new states. Handle temp worker timecards and agency invoice reconciliation. Respond to employee payroll and benefits questions while maintaining confidentiality.  Qualifications 3+ strong years of experience processing multi-state payroll for 350+ employees Solid understanding of benefit plans Experience reconciling monthly invoices Strong ability to build and manage reporting functions Basic knowledge of general accounting concepts (P&L, balance sheet, general ledger, journal entries, debits and credits) Payroll/HRIS platform experience required, including report-writing tools and time & attendance systems; Paycom experience strongly preferred.
