US Tax Analyst

Role Description This is a full-time, remote role for a US Tax Analyst at StrategCube. The US Tax Analyst will prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns mainly for individuals, ensuring accuracy and timely filing. The role includes performing tax research on US tax laws and regulations, identifying opportunities for tax savings, and documenting positions in line with current guidance. The role also includes client interactions and consultation.

Experience Level Junior Executive (3 to 4 years' experience) and Mid-level Executive (4 to 7 years' experience)

Qualifications and Skills

• Strong knowledge of US Federal (1040) and State Tax Preparation, including taxpayer query resolution.
• Excellent Analytical Skills, including the ability to interpret complex tax rules and analyze financial data.
• Valid PTIN (Preparer Tax Identification Number) with authorization to sign tax returns.
• Excellent verbal communication and client interaction skills.
• Proven experience working with and managing US stakeholders/customers.
• Ability to explain tax concepts clearly and provide effective support in a client-facing environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field; CPA, EA, or progress towards a certification is preferred.
• Proficiency with tax preparation software and Microsoft Excel; familiarity with accounting systems is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a remote environment.
