Role Description The US Tax Preparer and Reviewer is a full-time, on-site role based in Lahore. The individual in this role will prepare and review U.S. federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and other entities, ensuring accuracy and adherence to current tax laws and regulations. Daily responsibilities include analyzing financial statements and supporting documentation, identifying tax issues and opportunities, and resolving discrepancies in client data. The role involves collaborating with team members in the U.S. and offshore, maintaining organized workpapers, and meeting strict filing deadlines. The US Tax Preparer and Reviewer will also support tax planning engagements, respond to client queries, and contribute to continuous process improvement within the firm’s tax function.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Tax Preparation and practical experience with U.S. federal and state Tax compliance.
- Candidates should possess a solid understanding of Tax Law and the ability to apply U.S. tax regulations to varied client situations.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in working with Financial Statements and interpreting accounting data for tax purposes.
- Candidates should possess foundational knowledge in Finance to analyze client financial information and support tax planning decisions.
- Relevant professional qualification (e.g., CA, ACCA, CPA track, or equivalent) and experience in a public accounting or CPA firm environment are highly beneficial.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines are required.
- Proficiency with tax preparation software and MS Office, along with effective written and verbal communication skills, is expected.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-border team environment and maintain high ethical and confidentiality standards is essential.
