Our Financial Services client is seeking a UX Content Strategist to join their team for the next 12 months, 40 hours/week.

This role is fully remote, but you must be local to one of these locations below:

Austin, TX

Dallas, TX

Phoenix, AZ

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Content Strategist to join a collaborative User Experience (UX) team focused on creating intuitive, user-centered digital experiences across web, mobile, and desktop platforms. This role will partner closely with designers, researchers, product managers, and cross-functional stakeholders to define content strategy, create high-quality UX content, and improve complex user journeys. The ideal candidate brings deep content design expertise, strong UX thinking, experience working within Agile environments, and a passion for solving user problems through clear, effective communication.

Top Must Have Skills
6+ years of UX Content Strategy or Content Design experience for digital products
Strong proficiency with Figma and experience partnering closely with UX/Product Designers
Experience creating content for complex transactional experiences, onboarding flows, and multi-step user journeys
Fintech, financial services, brokerage, banking, or other regulated industry experience
Demonstrated UX writing and content design portfolio showcasing process, strategy, and design thinking
Experience working within cross-functional Agile product teams

Additional Qualifications
Experience with end-to-end user-centered design processes, including user research, user flows, wireframes, accessibility, and content specifications
Ability to influence stakeholders and communicate content decisions through clear rationale and storytelling
Strong facilitation skills with experience leading workshops, content reviews, and design sessions
Experience collaborating across product, design, engineering, and business teams
Strong project management and self-management skills
Experience with FigJam and content design tools such as Writer
Mobile content design experience preferred
Conversational design experience preferred
Experience using AI assistants or large language models (LLMs) to support content creation, ideation, or solution development is a plus
Client-focused mindset with the ability to build trust and strong cross-functional relationships
Experience supporting consumer-facing (B2C) digital products

Responsibilities
Content Strategy and Content Design
Define and execute content strategies that support user needs and business objectives
Partner with designers and product teams to shape user experiences and content frameworks
Create clear, concise, and user-centered content across web and mobile experiences
Develop content for transactional workflows, onboarding experiences, account management journeys, and other complex user interactions
Use research, analytics, and user insights to inform content decisions
Ensure content aligns with established UX writing standards, accessibility requirements, and design system guidelines
Conduct content audits, reviews, and quality assurance to maintain consistency and effectiveness
Identify gaps in content standards and recommend scalable solutions
Present and defend content recommendations with clear rationale and supporting evidence
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Collaborate with Agile teams to deliver cohesive experiences across digital, service, and physical channels
Participate in discovery, ideation, and problem-definition activities
Facilitate workshops and stakeholder discussions focused on solving user problems
Build strong partnerships with product, design, research, engineering, and business stakeholders
Establish expectations, communicate project progress, and drive alignment across teams
Raise risks, blockers, and dependencies proactively while helping teams identify solutions
Leadership and Strategic Influence
Lead content strategy initiatives across multiple projects and workstreams
Guide peer reviews and contribute to the growth of UX content design best practices
Influence product and design decisions through research-backed recommendations
Support project planning, prioritization, and estimation activities
Help maintain and evolve UX standards, content governance practices, and design system adoption
Continuous Improvement
Apply design thinking methodologies to solve ambiguous and complex problems
Balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints to deliver effective solutions
Incorporate feedback and iterative learning into the design process
Contribute to a collaborative, supportive team culture focused on continuous learning and innovation
Explore emerging technologies, including AI-assisted content creation and UX solutions, to improve team effectiveness and user experiences
