About the product:
Techstack is a technology product engineering company working with startups, scale-ups, and enterprises across healthtech, education, logistics, construction, and AI. We build, rebuild, and scale software products, from discovery and MVP to enterprise transformation.
We’re looking for a UX/UI Designer to join our project for a Netherlands-based bookkeeping platform with a client-facing front office and a bookkeeper-facing back office. The project introduces ledger-code management and double-entry Journal Entries, which will affect several existing back-office workflows. Draft designs and requirements already exist for some of these flows. Your task is to review and validate them, improve the UX where needed, and complete the missing screens within the client’s established design system.
Engagement details:
Short-term, part-time: 16 hours/week, approx. 64 hours in total
Duration: approx. 4 weeks, November 5 – December 2, 2026
Start: ASAP, target date November 5, 2026
Possible involvement in a future phase, subject to client approval
Timezone: Ukraine (EET–EEST), with overlap with Netherlands business hours
Your team:
You’ll join an existing Techstack project team: Project Manager, Software Engineer, QA Engineer, and Solution Architect. You’ll also work with the client’s stakeholders responsible for product requirements and workflow approvals.
Culture:
We uphold high standards in the tech industry and continuously evolve to meet them. Every team member can influence the product, the company, internal processes, and their own professional growth. We also regularly organize team-building activities to keep a friendly atmosphere and simply enjoy time together.
Your responsibilities:
Review existing draft designs and requirements for ledger-code management and Journal Entries workflows
Validate that user flows are logical, consistent, and aligned with existing product behavior
Conduct a critical UX assessment and suggest improvements where necessary, without redesigning the existing UI
Work with developers and the solution architect to align design decisions with technical constraints, including workflow states, validations, and system logic
Complete or correct approx. 10 missing screens, modals, and UI states
Ensure all designs follow the client’s established design system
Clarify missing requirements and edge cases with the project team and client
Prepare final designs and provide the necessary clarification for development handover
It’s about you:
Strong UX expertise and proven experience with complex B2B or SaaS applications
Ability to analyze and improve existing user flows rather than redesign a product from scratch
Experience working within established design systems and UI guidelines
Strong understanding of user journeys, interaction patterns, workflow states, validation rules, and error handling
Hands-on experience with user flows, wireframing, prototyping, and interaction design in Figma or an equivalent tool
Ability to constructively challenge existing design decisions and propose practical improvements
Comfortable discussing UX decisions and technical trade-offs with developers and solution architects
Ability to work independently, review incomplete requirements, and identify missing scenarios
Good English communication skills for collaboration with the international team and client
Experience with accounting, financial, or ERP software is a plus
What we can offer you:
Stable and long-term position in an experienced team
Broad opportunities for professional and career growth: challenges, meetups, hackathons, professional communities, and more
Direct communication with all stakeholders and the ability to influence product development
Horizontal connections and no micromanagement: all team members are accessible to each other for any questions
Hubs in Kharkiv, Kyiv, Lviv, and Wrocław (Poland), or everything necessary for remote work
Up to 50% compensation for educational courses and conferences
Free English and business English courses
20 days off and 7 sick days
Legal and accounting support
Appreciation gifts for significant events and occasions
