VA INTAKE ANALYST Hot Job Advocacy Fort Lauderdale Office - Plantation, FL 33317 Apply Overview Salary Range $23.00 - $24.00 Hourly Position Type Full Time Category Admin - Clerical Apply Description PURPOSE OF JOB: To serve as the primary liaison for potential clients, conducting thorough intake case reviews, verifying eligibility, and accurately documenting all necessary information and evidence for disability claims and benefits, to ensure the percentage of disability, write recommendations and, explain the decision and reason. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: POSITION SPECIFIC: Conduct outbound calls to (potential clients) veterans or their survivors who have completed consultations for VA disability compensation to see if they meet the criteria of cases we help with. Accept live call transfers from potential clients for the same purpose. Verify information to include but not limited to employment, dates of service, deployments, combined rating if any, individual rating for conditions service connected, conditions they are seeking to get service connected whether diagnosed or not and why they believe it is related to their time in service. Use VA’s Schedule for Rating Disabilities and other applicable instructions to determine the percentage of disability. Write recommendation after analyzing and speaking to potential client explaining the decision and reason. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications WORKING KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: T his job requires a minimum of a high school diploma or G.E.D. and 1-2 years of work-related experience with progressive responsibilities, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. REMOTE WORK FROM HOME REQUIREMENTS : Not all positions are remote; some require that the employee work in the office. Must have a desk, chair and basic essentials to work from home. Must have a quiet work area without noise or distractions. Must have personal high speed internet service (Wi-Fi is not acceptable). Our minimum internet speed requirement is 100 download & 20 upload speed. Must be logged onto your work computer and able to answer calls during your normal work hours. Remote workers must be based in the United States and must reside in one of the following states: FL, GA, IL, IN, MA, MI, NC, NJ, NV, NY, PA, SC, TX, or WV. Other important skills include excellent written and oral communication, analytical, inter-personal and computer skills.
