The Role
We are seeking an experienced Vehicle Testing Manager to lead vehicle testing and validation programs across development, production, fleet, and compliance activities.
The successful candidate will manage test strategies, test planning, vehicle validation, durability testing, performance testing, safety testing, environmental testing, regulatory testing, test facilities, instrumentation, data analysis, defect management, supplier coordination, and technical reporting.
Key ResponsibilitiesVehicle Testing Strategy
- Develop and implement comprehensive vehicle testing and validation strategies.
- Establish testing standards, procedures, methodologies, and governance.
- Define test objectives, acceptance criteria, test coverage, and validation requirements.
- Align testing activities with product-development milestones and regulatory requirements.
- Establish risk-based testing priorities.
Test Planning
- Develop detailed vehicle test plans, schedules, resources, budgets, and deliverables.
- Coordinate testing across prototypes, pre-production vehicles, production vehicles, and fleet vehicles.
- Establish test entry and exit criteria.
- Manage dependencies between engineering, testing, manufacturing, suppliers, and certification teams.
Vehicle Validation
- Lead vehicle validation programs from prototype development through production readiness.
- Verify vehicle systems against engineering specifications.
- Confirm functional, performance, durability, safety, reliability, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate validation activities across mechanical, electrical, electronic, software, and integrated vehicle systems.
Functional Testing
- Develop and oversee functional tests for vehicle systems and components.
- Verify vehicle functionality under normal and abnormal operating conditions.
- Identify functional defects.
- Coordinate root-cause investigations and corrective actions.
Performance Testing
- Manage testing of:

- Identify wear, fatigue, degradation, and failure modes.
- Establish durability acceptance criteria.
Reliability Testing
- Develop reliability-validation plans.
- Monitor component and system failure rates.
- Conduct reliability growth testing.
- Analyze failure trends.
- Support reliability improvement programs.
Environmental Testing
- Coordinate vehicle testing under:

- Evaluate vehicle operation under high ambient temperatures.
- Support validation for GCC and Middle Eastern operating conditions.

Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate should have experience in Vehicle Testing, Vehicle Validation, Automotive Engineering, Vehicle Development, Test Engineering, Automotive Quality, Reliability Engineering, or related disciplines.
The candidate should demonstrate:
- Proven experience managing vehicle testing and validation programs.
- Strong understanding of vehicle systems, testing methodologies, engineering validation, and product-development processes.
- Experience managing durability, reliability, performance, environmental, safety, and functional testing.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle dynamics, powertrain, braking, steering, thermal management, electronics, and integrated vehicle systems.
- Experience with electric-vehicle testing, battery systems, charging, range, and thermal validation is highly advantageous.
- Experience with ADAS, connected vehicles, autonomous-driving systems, or vehicle software testing is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of test instrumentation, data acquisition, CAN communication, telemetry, and vehicle-data analysis.
- Experience managing test tracks, laboratories, test facilities, test vehicles, and specialist equipment.
- Strong understanding of test risk management and vehicle-testing safety.
- Experience managing test engineers, technicians, test drivers, contractors, suppliers, and external laboratories.
- Experience with regulatory testing, homologation, certification, and compliance is highly advantageous.
- Knowledge of UAE and GCC vehicle operating conditions and regulatory requirements is advantageous.
- Experience with hot-weather, dust, sand, humidity, flooding, and other environmental validation is highly advantageous.
- Strong understanding of requirement traceability, validation matrices, defect management, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Experience with simulation, virtual testing, Hardware-in-the-Loop, Software-in-the-Loop, or automated testing is advantageous.
- Strong analytical and data-driven problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong project, budget, schedule, resource, supplier, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Relevant degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Vehicle Engineering, or a related discipline is highly advantageous.
- Professional engineering certification is advantageous.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills; Arabic is advantageous for UAE/GCC environments.
- Excellent technical leadership, analytical, planning, decision-making, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage complex testing programs involving multiple vehicle configurations, technologies, suppliers, facilities, and deadlines.
- Ability to make technically sound decisions based on test evidence and engineering risk.
