Position Title: Remote Veterinarian – Backoffice Support

Department: Operations Support / Remote Veterinary Services

Reports To: Operations Manager / CEO – Backoffice

Location: Cairo, Egypt (Fully Remote – Supporting a Farm in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia)

Job Purpose

The Remote Veterinarian is responsible for delivering remote diagnostic and veterinary consultation services to a farm in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through an integrated digital platform. This includes analyzing images, videos, and reports received from the farm, conducting remote diagnoses, prescribing treatment plans, monitoring cases, and ensuring compliance with Saudi veterinary regulations and licensing requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Remote Consultation & Diagnosis

• Receive and review case files (images, videos, field reports) sent from the farm in Riyadh via the approved digital platform.
• Conduct accurate preliminary diagnoses based on the provided data, determining whether urgent field intervention or remote follow-up is required.
• Develop detailed treatment plans and send veterinary prescriptions electronically through the application.
• Provide real-time audio and video consultations to farm personnel when needed.
• Monitor the progression of cases after treatment begins and adjust plans as necessary.

Coordination with Field Team

• Coordinate with the on-site veterinary team in Riyadh (if applicable) to ensure proper implementation of treatment plans.
• Issue directives to the field team regarding required procedures (additional examinations, sample collection, vaccination, etc.).
• Review field and laboratory test results and integrate them with remote diagnoses.

Documentation & Reporting

• Create and maintain comprehensive digital records for each case and treatment follow-up.
• Prepare periodic reports (weekly/monthly) on herd health status, general health indicators, and recovery rates.
• Document all consultations, diagnoses, and prescriptions in the electronic medical records system.

Compliance & Quality

• Comply with veterinary practice laws and regulations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including the Veterinary Practice Law of 2023.
• Ensure the remote veterinary service provider is registered with the Saudi Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture.
• Adhere to data privacy and information security standards in all consultations.
• Immediately report any suspected epidemic or infectious diseases to the relevant authorities.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine from an accredited university.
• Minimum 5 years of veterinary practice experience, with experience in farms (dairy, poultry, or camel farms preferred).
• Valid professional practice license from the competent authority in the country of origin (Egypt).
• Good knowledge of Saudi veterinary practice law and registration requirements for remote service providers.
• Proficiency in using digital platforms for remote consultations and electronic medical records systems.
• Strong analytical skills to diagnose cases through images and videos.
• Ability to work in shifts to cover the farm's operating hours in Riyadh (minimal time difference).
• Excellent communication skills (Arabic and English) to interact with the field team and farm personnel.
• Commitment to medical confidentiality and ethical standards.

Preferred:

• Previous experience in remote work or virtual veterinary consultations.
• Specialized certifications in large animal medicine or farm management.
• Knowledge of electronic animal identification systems (microchips).
• Experience in epidemic and infectious diseases.
