Vice President, Corporate Operational Risk

**POSITION SUMMARY:** The Vice President, Corporate Operational Risk plays a critical role in overseeing and managing operational risk within the organization. This position is situated within the Risk & Regulatory Compliance function, specifically focusing on the Corporate Operational Risk job family. The role is instrumental in supporting BNY's strategic pillars by ensuring that operational risks are identified, assessed, and mitigated effectively. This enables the organization to uphold its principles of integrity, client focus, and operational excellence. The position requires a keen understanding of risk management practices and regulatory compliance standards to safeguard the organization's assets and reputation. **PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:** - Develop and implement comprehensive operational risk management strategies by leveraging expertise in risk assessment and mitigation techniques. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify potential operational risks, ensuring alignment with BNY's strategic objectives and regulatory requirements. - Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of risk management frameworks, providing recommendations for enhancements to bolster organizational resilience. - Lead risk assessments and scenario analyses to identify vulnerabilities and implement action plans to address identified risks. - Prepare and present detailed risk reports to senior management, offering insights and recommendations for risk mitigation. - Stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure that BNY's risk management practices remain current and effective. **EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:** - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field. - Professional certifications such as Certified Risk Manager (CRM) or equivalent are advantageous. **EXPERIENCE:** - Typically 5-10 years of experience. **SKILLS:** - Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex risk scenarios and propose effective solutions. - Excellent communication and presentation skills to engage with stakeholders at various levels. - Proficiency in risk management software and tools to enhance operational efficiency and reporting capabilities.
