Position Summary
The Vice President, Digital Operations is the executive leader responsible for the strategy, governance, execution, and value realization of STERIS's Digital Operations portfolio. This role leads the transformation of manufacturing, supply chain, planning, warehousing, transportation, and enterprise operational capabilities through coordinated business and technology investments. Working in close partnership with Operations leadership, Information Technology peers, Enterprise Architecture, and the Data & AI organization, this position is accountable for translating strategic investments into measurable business outcomes while establishing the governance, prioritization, and delivery disciplines needed to realize enterprise value. The role leads portfolio and program management resources supporting the company's long-term digital transformation agenda.
This is a remote role with approximately 25% domestic and 10% international travel.
What You'll Do As a VP, Digital Operations
- Own Digital Operations portfolio value realization and translate technology investments into measurable business outcomes.
- Establish portfolio priorities, investment sequencing, and delivery discipline across manufacturing and supply chain platforms.
- Lead business process and operating model transformation to maximize the value of technology investments.
- Partner with Operations leadership and Centers of Excellence to align business owners around scope, value, and delivery commitments.
- Lead portfolio and program management resources responsible for major transformation initiatives.
- Partner across IT to scale program management capabilities as transformation needs evolve.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, integration, ERP, data governance, and data quality standards.
- Manage portfolio investment, resourcing, and financial performance.
- Build and develop a high-performing portfolio, program, and technical organization.
The Experience, Skills And Abilities Needed
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- 15+ years of experience in digital, operations, supply chain, or enterprise technology, including 5+ years leading large-scale transformation programs and teams.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or regulated industry operations, including partnering with Centers of Excellence or shared enterprise functions and delivering measurable P&L or operational benefits from technology investments.
- Significant experience leading enterprise digital or operations technology programs.
- Executive-level portfolio and program governance experience.
- Experience leading and developing management-level teams.
- Experience with enterprise platform transformation, including ERP, MES, WMS, APS, TMS, or similar technologies.
- Demonstrated expertise in value realization, portfolio prioritization, financial stewardship, and operating model transformation.
- Strong executive stakeholder management and the ability to build effective partnerships between technology and operational leaders.
Preferred
- Experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or another regulated operational environment.
- Experience partnering with Centers of Excellence or shared enterprise functions.
- Demonstrated success delivering measurable operational or financial value from technology investments.
- MBA or related advanced degree.

Pay range for this opportunity is $225,000 - $300,000. This position is also Long-Term-Incentive and Bonus eligible.
Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
