Is this job info correct?

Salary Range: $220,000.00 To $250,000.00 Annually VP of Global Business Planning (Hybrid) About ONE/SIZE ONE/SIZE is a prestige cosmetic brand founded by Luxury Brand Partners & Patrick Starrr and built on one ownable promise: makeup that lasts all day. Our hero product, the On ’Til Dawn setting spray, is one of the best-selling makeup products in the United States. We are also one of the fastest-growing prestige brands in the world right now — live in Sephora and Kohls across North America, continental Europe, the UK, Southeast Asia and the Middle East, in Boots UK, on TikTok Shop and direct-to-consumer, with international growing at triple-digit rates. That growth is exactly why this role exists. We are building the global planning function from the ground up, and this is the leader who will build it. Job Summary: We are hiring a VP of Global Business Planning to build and lead ONE/SIZE’s global demand planning, sell-in and sell-through forecasting, and business planning function across every channel and every region. This is a build, not a caretaker role. You will stand up the planning discipline, the tools and the team that a brand growing this fast now needs — and you will own the single set of numbers that Sales, Marketing, Ecommerce, Supply Chain, Finance and our retail partners all plan against. The right person pairs deep analytical rigor with genuine executive presence, moves without being asked, and follows through to closure in a fast-paced, high-growth, founder-led environment. You will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and partner every day with the COO, the SVP of Sales & Education, Supply Chain Head and Support Team, Director of Digital, SVP Product Development & Packaging, CMO and Finance. You will also lead the newly hired Senior Demand Planner and build the planning team from there. HYBRID: This role is classified as exempt from the Fair Labor Standard Act’s overtime requirement and is open to candidates based in LA. While the position is primarily remote, it follows a hybrid 2 day per week schedule requiring occasional in-person work at Culver City, CA 90230. You must be able to work core Pacific hours. A reliable internet connection and a dedicated workspace free from significant distractions are essential for remote work. Approximately 5-10% travel is expected, to key retail partners and to international markets. This position is classified as exempt from the overtime requirements of the Fair Labor Standards Act. What You’ll Do: Essential Job Functions Forecasting, Demand Planning and Reporting Own and lead the global end-to-end demand planning function across all channels Develop, manage, and continuously refine short-term, mid-range, and long-term forecasts to support revenue objectives, inventory optimization, and operational readiness Lead global revenue planning across wholesale and retail, translating brand strategy into annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and account-level financial plans Build and maintain detailed SKU, retailer, and channel-level forecasts; analyze performance against actuals, prior year, and targets to identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities Establish and deliver comprehensive sell-through reporting (weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc) with actionable insights for executive leadership and cross-functional teams Oversee demand planning processes while elevating planning standards, tools, and organizational capabilities Lead monthly regional consensus forecasting meetings, aligning Commercial, Marketing, Operations, and Finance on demand assumptions, inventory readiness, and growth priorities Drive measurable forecast-accuracy improvement (MAPE and bias, by SKU, channel and region) while reducing excess and obsolete inventory exposure Own the international demand plan across every market and operating model, direct and distributor, including new-door and new-market launches and separate one-time pipeline fill from underlying run-rate so that expansion is never mistaken for demand Work hand in hand with Supply Chain and our third-party logistics partner so that the demand plan is executable in the warehouse — order timing and quantities, new-product buys and replenishment cadence, inventory positioning and allocation, lot and shelf-life rotation, and weeks of cover by SKU, channel and region Commercial Partnership and Business Insight Partner closely with the COO and CFO and Commercial leadership to ensure budgeted sales, margin, and inventory targets are achieved Lead scenario planning and forecasting for innovation launches and NPD, incorporating cannibalization, halo effects, promotional activity, and retailer support strategies Provide data-driven recommendations on business investments, inventory strategies, assortment optimization, and commercial effectiveness Identify opportunities and risks across channels, categories, regions, and retailers while proactively recommending mitigation plans and growth initiatives Partner with Sales to improve performance and maximize productivity across key retail partners, including Sephora, Boots, Kohls, and our international distributor partners Own the customer forecast cadence end to end — weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually, set to each account’s rhythm — working with Sales to secure the most accurate forecast input available from every account S&OP and Cross-Functional Leadership Act as the primary interface between CFO, COO, Demand Planning, Supply Chain, Finance, Commercial, and Marketing throughout the S&OP process Facilitate executive demand review meetings to ensure alignment on forecasts, inventory, launches, and operational priorities Secure explicit cross-functional sign-off on the forecast before money is committed — new-product launch quantities ahead of purchase orders being placed, and monthly replenishment ahead of orders being released, so that Sales, Marketing, Product Development, Supply Chain and Finance are all committed to one number rather than each carrying their own Partner with Product Development and Marketing teams to integrate pipeline visibility, launch timing, and market share assumptions into forecasts Assortment, Lifecycle and Retail Account Management Lead and maintain productive assortments across accounts; oversee product lifecycle planning, new product forecasting, and master SKU management Oversee forecasting and management of all sales reductions, including promotions, RTVs, markdowns, and T&Ds Partner directly with retail accounts to manage replenishment strategies, order flow, inventory levels, and open-to-buy discussions Act as the primary point of contact for all customer-submitted forecasts; reconcile and challenge every submission against sell-through, inventory position and our own demand plan, and return timely, specific feedback to the account, with the explicit objective of improving the accuracy of what our customers send us over time Proactively communicate inventory risks, SKU changes, and out-of-stock issues to internal teams and retailers to support optimal fulfillment and sell-through Systems, Process and Team Serve as the executive lead for forecasting systems, reporting tools, and business intelligence enhancements Partner with IT and Operations teams to improve forecasting automation, reporting accuracy, and visibility across the organization Establish scalable planning processes, KPIs, and reporting standards to support global business growth Build, lead and develop the global planning team, starting with the newly hired Senior Demand Planner, and raise planning capability across the wider business Own a single, trusted source of planning truth — one set of numbers that Finance, Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing, Ecommerce and the executive team all work from Drive continuous improvement initiatives across forecasting methodologies, inventory planning, and commercial analytics Non-Essential Job Functions Assist with special projects or initiatives as needed to support departmental goals. Provide backup coverage for team members during absences or peak workload periods. Perform additional administrative tasks or clerical duties as assigned. Support cross-departmental efforts or collaborative initiatives when required. What You’ll Bring: To excel in this role, you must meet the following qualifications. Reasonable accommodation can be made to support individuals with disabilities in performing essential functions. 10+ years of progressive experience in demand planning, business planning, sales planning or supply chain leadership, including time at the head-of-function level Significant experience leading global forecasting and demand planning in beauty or cosmetics; adjacent prestige or consumer goods experience will be considered where the retail model is genuinely comparable Strong understanding of wholesale, retail, and DTC business models Deep prestige beauty experience is strongly preferred — specifically planning at SKU and shade level, forecasting testers, GWP, value sets and limited editions, and working to a prestige retailer’s set and reset calendar. Direct Sephora experience (merchant relationships, 852 sell-through data, replenishment and open-to-buy) is a significant advantage Experience planning across multiple international markets and operating models — direct markets, distributors and new-market launches — with the discipline to distinguish one-time pipeline fill from ongoing run-rate Proven leadership experience managing and developing high-performing planning teams Exceptional analytical, financial, and strategic thinking capabilities Advanced expertise in forecasting, inventory planning, and sell-in/sell-through analysis Strong inventory control and management fundamentals: how orders are actually placed and received, new-product buys versus ongoing replenishment, allocation across channels and regions, lot and shelf-life discipline, and how a demand plan turns into physical stock in a 3PL warehouse. You understand the full chain from the number on the plan to the case on the dock, and you have seen where it breaks Strong business acumen with the ability to translate data into actionable business strategies Hands-on leadership style with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment Exceptional communication in both directions: able to hold a room with the executive team and our owners — clear, concise and decision-ready — and to represent ONE/SIZE credibly and directly with retail partners and external customers Able to pull the input out of every function — Sales, Marketing, Product Development, Supply Chain, Ecommerce and Finance — reconcile competing views and drive the room to a conclusion. Your meetings end in a decision and one agreed number, not another meeting Relentless follow-through. You close loops, you chase the answer, and the things you own do not go quiet — internally or with a retailer A genuine builder and self-starter. You have stood a function, a process or a system up from very little, you set your own agenda, and you do not wait to be asked Comfortable with ambiguity and incomplete data — able to make a defensible call and move, then go back and improve the inputs Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required, including complex modeling and data analysis Experience with ERP and planning systems. NetSuite and Power BI are our environment; hands-on experience with a dedicated planning tool (Anaplan, o9, SAP IBP or similar) is a strong plus Ability to influence executive leadership and drive alignment across multiple functions and global regions Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred Team Leadership & Oversight The newly hired Senior Demand Planner reports to this position. The VP of Global Business Planning is expected to assess, build and lead the global planning team as the function scales, and to raise planning capability across the wider business. Physical Requirements This role requires the following physical capabilities: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times. Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, twist, and squat to adjust or position equipment, cameras, or set up for events. Prolonged periods standing, bending, stooping, and reaching Must be able to focus on detailed work for extended periods, which may lead to eye strain or fatigue.
