The Vice President, Global Procurement is an enterprise leader responsible for defining and executing Ryan’s global procurement vision, strategy, and operating model. This role will lead the continued maturation of Ryan's Procurement function into a scalable enterprise capability by strengthening the operating model, governance, technology, and organizational effectiveness needed to support the Firm's long-term growth. This role provides leadership and oversight of the global strategic procurement and sourcing function while partnering closely with Finance, Treasury, Accounts Payable, and other operational stakeholders across the broader Procure-to-Pay (P2P) ecosystem. While this position does not directly own Accounts Payable or Treasury operations, it plays a critical role in driving procurement governance, sourcing strategy, supplier management, spend optimization, and enterprise-wide procurement transformation initiatives. As a member of the extended leadership team, the Vice President partners closely with executive leadership to drive measurable enterprise value through cost savings, operational efficiencies, supplier rationalization, risk mitigation, and scalable procurement practices. Success in this role will be measured through realized savings, KPI achievement, supplier optimization, spend visibility, acquisition integration speed, and overall value creation delivered to the Firm. This position oversees strategic sourcing and procurement operations across all regions and is highly focused on driving execution in a complex, global environment. A significant area of focus includes rapidly integrating acquired companies into Ryan’s procurement ecosystem to identify savings opportunities, consolidate vendors, renegotiate contracts, terminate redundant agreements, and accelerate synergy realization across the enterprise. Duties and Responsibilities, as they align to Ryan’s Key Results People: Provide executive leadership for the global procurement organization, including organizational design, talent strategy, and capability development Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, execution, and innovation Partner with Finance, Treasury, Accounts Payable, and Internal Audit to support strong financial governance, procurement controls, and compliance frameworks Develop leadership bench strength and succession planning across procurement functions Champion change management initiatives tied to procurement transformation, AI-enabled automation, and global standardization Client: Act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, aligning procurement strategy with enterprise objectives and value creation priorities Lead vendor and supplier integration activities related to acquisitions, including rapid assessment of inherited spend, contract consolidation, renegotiation opportunities, vendor rationalization, and termination of redundant agreements to accelerate synergy realization and operational efficiency Establish and maintain strong cross-functional partnerships with Finance, Legal, IT, Facilities, People Group, and business leadership Lead enterprise-wide sourcing strategies for indirect goods and services, ensuring alignment with business priorities, supplier diversity, sustainability, and cost optimization goals Oversee complex contract negotiations and supplier governance frameworks in collaboration with Legal and Finance Drive strategic supplier relationships, including executive-level engagement and supplier performance management Lead procurement transformation initiatives, including digital enablement, spend visibility, and process optimization Value: Lead the transformation of Procurement into a strategic enterprise function that drives measurable financial value, operational efficiency, supplier optimization, and risk management across the Firm Develop and execute enterprise-wide cost savings and value realization strategies with clear accountability for measurable results and KPI performance Establish and monitor procurement KPIs and performance metrics focused on savings realization, supplier performance, spend under management, acquisition integration milestones, compliance, and operational effectiveness Drive rapid procurement integration of acquired companies to maximize savings opportunities, accelerate supplier consolidation, and standardize procurement practices across the enterprise Establish and govern procurement strategies, supplier management frameworks, and standardized policies and processes to improve spend visibility, scalability, compliance, and stakeholder experience Lead global standardization and scalability of procurement processes across regions (North America, EMEA, and APAC) Drive adoption of best-in-class procurement technologies (e.g., e-procurement, contract lifecycle management, AI-enabled spend analytics, and supplier management platforms) Oversee category management strategies grounded in data-driven insights and market intelligence Own key strategic vendor relationships, including travel management and outsourced service providers Establish governance frameworks, policies, and controls to support supplier risk management, procurement compliance, and operational excellence Continuously evaluate market trends, supplier innovation, and emerging technologies (including AI and intelligent automation) to enhance procurement effectiveness and enterprise value creation Education and Experience: Advanced degree required in Procurement, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in procurement and/or sourcing Proven track record of leading global procurement organizations and driving enterprise transformation initiatives Deep expertise in indirect sourcing within professional services (tax, accounting, legal, or consulting services strongly preferred), including categories such as IT, facilities, and travel Deep experience onboarding vendors and suppliers from acquisitions Executive leadership and stakeholder influence at the C-suite level Strategic thinking with strong commercial and financial acumen Advanced negotiation and supplier relationship management expertise Enterprise transformation and change leadership Data-driven decision-making and analytical rigor Exceptional communication and executive presentation skills Ability to lead in a complex, global, matrixed environment Preferred Qualifications MBA strongly preferred Experience with platforms such as Workday Financials, Oracle Financials and PaymentWorks. CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) or equivalent certification preferred Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have advanced skills in Microsoft® Office Suite. Intermediate skills in Microsoft® Word, Access, Excel, and Internet navigation and research are also required. PaymentWorks and Workday or Oracle Financials and ChatGPT Enterprise experience preferred. Certificates and Licenses: CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly and indirectly supervises employees on the Procurement team and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Firms’ policies and applicable laws. Work Environment: Standard indoor working environment. Occasional long periods of sitting while working at computer. Position requires regular interaction with employees and clients both in person and via e-mail and telephone. Independent travel requirement: 30 to 50%.
