We offer behavioral healthcare services – psychiatry, addiction recovery, mental disorder treatment, etc. – that allow clients at all stages of recovery or rehabilitation to reclaim health and well-being. Vice President of Clinical Operations Remote Role | Remote with travel as needed to programs or for other meetings as needed Pay Range: $110,000 – $140,000 per year Shift: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm or 9:00am - 5:00pm (flexible) Executive Clinical Leadership Opportunity The Vice President of Clinical Operations provides strategic leadership and oversight of clinical services. This role is responsible for setting and implementing the organization’s clinical strategy, ensuring high-quality and compliant care, and supporting consistent clinical standards across all programs. The VP collaborates with executive leadership to align clinical priorities with operational, regulatory, and financial goals and advances performance, outcomes, and innovation throughout the organization. For Silverline programs, the VP of Clinical Ops also has the responsibility of the programs overall clinical quality; and ensuing compliance and safety standards are met by supporting training initiatives, clinical program excellence and safety audits. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Develop and execute the organization’s clinical strategy to advance quality, outcomes, and operational performance. Provide leadership and oversight to regional and program-level Clinical Directors to ensure consistent standards of care across all facilities. Consult with the SVP and executive leadership on clinical operations, program development, risk areas, and emerging trends. Lead implementation and fidelity monitoring of evidence-based practices and treatment models (e.g., ASAM, trauma-informed care). Ensure compliance with federal, state, and accreditation requirements, including OMHSAS, DDAP, and CARF and any state accrediting bodies. Guide programs through audits, licensing renewals, and regulatory corrective actions as needed. Review, approve, and maintain clinical policies, protocols, and procedures to ensure consistency and regulatory alignment. Monitor key clinical metrics—such as engagement, length of stay, outcomes, and readmission rates—and lead performance improvement initiatives. Partner with Quality, Compliance, and Risk to establish clinical performance indicators, peer review processes, and corrective action plans. Use data-driven methods to evaluate program performance and identify opportunities for improvement and growth. Mentor and develop clinical leaders and interdisciplinary teams, promoting professional growth, accountability, and engagement. Support training, competency assessments, and credentialing processes for clinical staff. Collaborate with Operations, Finance, Business Development, and Payer Relations to align clinical priorities with organizational and financial goals. Support payer negotiations and Value-Based Purchasing (VBP) initiatives to enhance reimbursement linked to measurable quality outcomes. Ensure efficient and ethical utilization of clinical resources while maintaining client safety. Identify emerging trends in behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, and integrated care to inform innovation and strategy. Lead implementation of new clinical programs and technology solutions to improve access and outcomes. Represent the organization at conferences, regulatory meetings, and external stakeholder collaborations. Must exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality with regard to all company information Completion of all required trainings as designated by the company and accreditation/licensing entities. Travel as needed to programs or for other meetings as needed. Other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities Direct oversight of Regional Clinical Directors, Program Clinical Leaders, and designated interdisciplinary teams. For Silverline programs, this role provides supported oversight Clinical Directors, Program Clinical Leaders, and designated interdisciplinary teams. Responsible for leadership development, coaching, and performance management of clinical leadership roles. Required Qualifications Education, Licensure, & Experience Master’s Degree in a behavioral health-related field required (e.g., Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Nursing). Licensure required LCPC (Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor) OR LCSW-C (Licensed Clinical Social Worker-Clinical) 7–10 years of progressive clinical leadership experience in behavioral health or substance use disorder settings. Demonstrated experience with regulatory bodies such as OMHSAS, DDAP, CARF, and other relevant licensing authorities. Experience leading multi-site or multi-state clinical operations preferred. Experience with payer relations, outcomes measurement, and performance improvement initiatives strongly preferred. Physical Demands Duties require frequent talking, hearing, and computer use. The employee may regularly sit, stand, walk, and occasionally stoop, twist, kneel, or climb stairs. The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Work Environment This role operates across clinical program settings and corporate environments. Regular travel is required. The employee must provide their own transportation. Incumbents may be exposed to behavioral health environments, including clients experiencing psychiatric or medical crises, and may encounter potential exposure to viruses, diseases, or infections.
