VICE PRESIDENT OF FINANCE
Reports to: COO/CEO
About the role:
We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Vice President of Finance to lead the company’s financial planning, reporting, analytics, cash management, and legal coordination functions. This role is responsible for ensuring financial accuracy, delivering actionable business insights, supporting strategic decision-making, and protecting company assets. The VP of Finance will partner closely with executive leadership and department heads to drive performance, accountability, and operational excellence.
Job Responsibilities:
Financial Statements & Financial Planning
- Lead forward-looking FP&A ownership, including forecasting and long-range financial planning
- Provide analytical support and recommendations related to pricing, margin optimization, strategic initiatives, and company investment decisions
- Maintain full ownership of financial statements, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow
- Oversee internal reporting and performance tracking against budget, forecast, and prior periods
- Ensure the accuracy and timely delivery of all financial statements to internal stakeholders and the Board
- Generate clear financial reporting and actionable insights, including explaining performance drivers and recommended next steps
- Partner with department leaders to:
- Set budget-level goals
- Track performance versus budget
- Identify variances and corrective actions
- Lead and fully manage the annual audit process, including coordination with auditors and preparation of required deliverables
Company Assets & Financial Operations
- Oversee cash flow management and forecasting
- Manage banking relationships and financial institutions
- Oversee accounts payable processes, payment terms, and vendor payment controls
- Own accounts receivable and cash collection processes
- Manage bad debt exposure and write-offs
- Ensure proper stewardship and protection of company financial assets
Data & Analytics
- Lead and manage the data and analytics team
- Establish the company’s analytical agenda by prioritizing projects and aligning resources with business objectives
- Oversee dashboards, reporting systems, and company-wide analytics
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility across the organization
- Translate data into:
- Clear insights
- Actionable recommendations
- Guidance on strategic and operational next steps
- Provide real-time feedback to departments and department leaders
- Ensure analytics functions support business decision-making and operational performance
Legal & Compliance Coordination
- Manage day-to-day relationships with external legal counsel, including work scoping, timeline management, and cost control
- Oversee contract lifecycle management, including intake, review coordination, tracking, renewals, and administration
- Monitor and report legal and compliance risks to executive leadership
- Prepare, organize, and provide documentation required by legal counsel
- Ensure legal considerations are appropriately integrated into standard business processes
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field required
- 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting leadership experience
- Proven experience leading end-to-end sale, recapitalization, or strategic transaction processes, including due diligence and coordination with investment bankers and external partners
- Experience leading FP&A, accounting, cash management, and financial reporting functions
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial controls, budgeting, forecasting, and audit management
- Experience working with executive leadership teams and presenting to boards or ownership groups
- Experience managing cross-functional teams, including analytics or business intelligence functions
- Familiarity with contract management and coordination with external legal counsel
