Vice President of Nursing Operations Remote| T ravel as needed to programs or for other meetings as needed Pay: $110,000 – $140,000 per year Shift: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm OR 9:00am - 5:00pm Lead Nursing. Strengthen Operations. Make an Impact. The Vice President of Nursing provides strategic and operational leadership for nursing services across assigned facilities and programs. This role is responsible for advancing nursing quality, regulatory compliance, workforce development, and operational consistency while supporting organizational growth and program expansion initiatives. The Vice President of Nursing partners with operational, clinical, quality, and compliance leadership to promote excellence in nursing practice, maintain safe and effective client care environments, and support achievement of organizational and regulatory standards. This role serves as a member of the Executive Leadership Team. This role also supports overall clinical quality, compliance, and safety standards through collaboration with program leadership, training initiatives, clinical programming support, and participation in safety and quality oversight activities. The VP of Nursing Operations will oversee nursing operations across assigned programs in New Jersey and Maryland , with Travel as needed between programs or for other meetings as needed . Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for nursing services across assigned facilities and programs. Support development, implementation, and expansion of new programs and service lines in collaboration with system and operational leadership. Lead nursing operations for program start-ups and expansion initiatives to ensure safe, compliant, and effective clinical operations. Provide oversight, mentorship, and leadership support to Directors of Nursing, Nurse Managers, Charge Nurses, and nursing teams across assigned facilities. Support nursing workforce planning, staffing strategies, leadership development, and succession planning initiatives. Facilitate onboarding, orientation, and ongoing mentorship of nursing staff through organizational training and academy initiatives. Participate in assigned nursing leadership on-call rotation responsibilities. Partner with Operations, Quality, Compliance, and Performance Improvement departments to support positive clinical and operational outcomes and maintain benchmark KPIs. Collaborate with interdisciplinary leadership teams to ensure efficient operations and optimal resource utilization across facilities. Conduct and support regular chart audits and documentation reviews in coordination with Quality, Compliance, and Performance Improvement departments. Identify trends, compliance concerns, and opportunities for improvement and assist in development and implementation of corrective action plans. Support facilities in obtaining and maintaining ASAM standards and other applicable accreditation or licensing requirements. Ensure nursing practices comply with applicable nursing practice acts, medication management regulations, infection control standards, and accreditation requirements including CARF, DDAP, OMHSAS, Joint Commission, and other applicable regulatory bodies. Support clinical quality and safety initiatives through participation in audits, training efforts, operational reviews, and process improvement activities. Promote a culture of continuous learning, professional accountability, and nursing excellence across assigned facilities. Must exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality with regard to all company information Completion of all required trainings as designated by the company and accreditation/licensing entities. T ravel as needed to programs or for other meetings as needed. Other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities Provides direct oversight and leadership to Directors of Nursing, Nurse Managers, and nursing teams across assigned facilities and programs. Responsibilities include supporting onboarding, mentoring nursing leadership, workforce planning, staffing strategy, operational oversight, leadership development, and ensuring compliance with organizational, regulatory, and accreditation standards. This role may also provide operational collaboration and support to interdisciplinary leadership teams to assist with clinical operations, quality initiatives, safety oversight, and program performance improvement activities. Regular travel is required for this role. Required Qualifications Education, Licensure, & Experience Current unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of practice or reciprocal state required Current CPR/BLS and First Aid certification required Minimum of five (5) years of nursing leadership experience required Experience supervising multi-site or multi-program nursing operations preferred Experience with regulatory surveys, accreditation processes, and quality improvement initiatives preferred Experience in behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, and co-occurring disorder programs preferred Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to handle objects, and reach with hands and arms. The employee may occasionally climb stairs, stoop, twist, kneel, or crouch. The employee may occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds and seldom lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Work Environment This role operates across clinical program settings and corporate environments and requires regular travel between assigned facilities. The employee must provide their own transportation. Employees may be exposed to behavioral health environments, including clients experiencing psychiatric, behavioral, or medical crises, and may encounter exposure to viruses, diseases, or infections.
