The VP of Total Rewards leads the organization’s enterprise compensation, benefits, retirement, well-being, and related rewards strategies. The position partners with executive leadership, Finance, Legal, Operations, and HR to deliver competitive, equitable, compliant, and financially sustainable programs that support workforce attraction, retention, engagement, organizational growth, and business performance. Essential Duties and Responsibilities : Develop, execute, and regularly evaluate an enterprise total rewards strategy aligned with the company’s business goals, workforce strategy, values, growth priorities, and competitive position. Design and manage Total Rewards goals and initiate specific programs to accomplish the organization’s compensation and benefits objectives that attract, engage, and retain top talent, while ensuring cost-effective implementation and alignment with our business objectives and values. Analyze internal and external total rewards data; develop dashboards, reports, forecasts, and key performance indicators; identify trends, risks, cost drivers, and opportunities; and translate findings into clear recommendations for executive and operational decision-making. Develop and maintain an enterprise compensation philosophy and governance framework that establishes market positioning, internal equity standards, decision rights, approval requirements, documentation expectations, and monitoring practices. Oversee the design, implementation, administration, and governance of compensation programs, including base pay, geographic and job-family structures, incentives, bonuses, and other variable-pay arrangements, ensuring market competitiveness, internal equity, financial sustainability, and compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements. Continuously monitor and analyze market trends, industry benchmarks, and compensation practices to ensure that our total reward programs remain competitive and relevant. Leverage data and analytics to guide decisions, establish program baselines and targets, monitor utilization and outcomes, evaluate return on investment, and recommend changes that improve employee value, organizational effectiveness, compliance, and cost efficiency. Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership and collaborate with Finance, Legal, Operations, Payroll, HR leaders, and business partners to align total rewards decisions with workforce needs, financial objectives, desired behaviors, compliance requirements, organizational culture, and growth priorities. Own the total rewards operating budget and provide multi-year cost modeling, forecasting, and recommendations for compensation, health and welfare benefits, retirement programs, and vendor investments in partnership with Finance. Lead the strategy, design, financial management, communication, and governance of employee benefits programs, including health and welfare, retirement, well-being, and other offerings that support employee experience and retention. Direct annual renewal and Open Enrollment activities, oversee broker, consultant, carrier, and vendor relationships, and ensure programs are effectively administered, communicated, and evaluated. Oversee retirement and deferred compensation plan governance, including committee support, regulatory filings, audits, nondiscrimination testing, fiduciary processes, vendor performance, and employee education. Lead total rewards due diligence, cost analysis, program comparison, and integration planning for acquisitions, new programs, market expansions, and other organizational growth initiatives. Drive operational efficiency, controls, service standards, and continuous improvement across total rewards administration, including benefits, compensation, leave-related interfaces, retirement programs, payroll coordination, employee transactions, UKG processes, and vendor services. Communicate and promote Pyramid Healthcare’s mission and CORE Values. Partner with HRIS, Payroll, Finance, and vendors to optimize UKG configurations, interfaces, data quality, security, reporting, and automation supporting compensation, benefits, retirement, and related employee transactions. Establish and monitor controls, audit processes, compliance calendars, corrective-action plans, and reporting for total rewards programs, escalating material risks and recommendations to executive leadership and appropriate governance committees. Must exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality with regard to all company information. Completion of all required trainings as designated by the company and accreditation/licensing entities. Other duties as assigned. Supervisor y Responsibilities: Lead and develop a high-performing Total Rewards team by establishing clear priorities, service expectations, performance goals, succession plans, and development opportunities while fostering accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Required Qualifications: Education, Licensure, & Experience Bachelor’s degree in a related field required. Master’s degree preferred. At least 10 years of progressive experience in total rewards, including significant responsibility for compensation strategy, benefits and retirement plan design, financial analysis, HR systems, vendor governance, and regulatory compliance. Prior vendor management experience. 5+ years of supervisory experience. Demonstrated success developing and executing enterprise total rewards strategies, compensation philosophies, program governance, and measurable cost, employee-experience, or workforce outcomes. Professional certification such as Certified Compensation Professional, Certified Benefits Professional, Certified Employee Benefit Specialist, or SHRM-SCP is preferred. The starting compensation for this role is $150K/year; final compensation will be determined based on skills, experience, and qualifications.
