We are seeking a Vice President to join the Blue Earth Capital Private Credit team focused on EMEA. This role provides broad credit exposure across multiple markets (primary focus is Africa with additional investment opportunities in Europe) and flexibility to invest across deal types (buyouts, corporate loans, growth capital, venture debt and asset based lending). Responsibilities include analyzing investment opportunities, contributing to due diligence processes, preparing and conducting management calls, drafting investment recommendations, deal sourcing and execution, and ongoing monitoring and portfolio management. The role can be based in London, UK or Madrid, Spain.
Role & Responsibilities
Leading quantitative and qualitative analysis of prospective investment opportunities, including financial modeling, credit risk assessment, industry research and operational analysis
Developing investment structure and thesis, conducting on site due diligence and producing investment recommendations
Leading negotiation and drafting of legal transaction documentation, coordinating with internal and external counterparties
Managing portfolio companies throughout investment period, including close contact with management, oversight of monitoring materials, and being proactive in all matters arising in the ordinary course of investment management, acting quickly to identify, address and correct issues
Contributing to portfolio valuation preparation and discussion, liaising with company management and internal and external teams as needed
Contributing to strategic planning and deal origination for the EMEA department
Performing thematic research into emerging business sectors and markets, and driving thought leadership within the team
Supporting new product and business initiatives for the private credit platform when necessary

Between 5-8 years of relevant work experience in financial services or investment management (preferably Private Credit or Leveraged Finance)
Strong financial modelling skills, investment writing and interpersonal skills
Experience leading deals from due diligence to deal execution
Experience of working in emerging markets or a demonstrated passion for impact investing, development finance or social enterprise work
Network across the investment community to support origination of new opportunities
Previous line management experience and experience of working with teams across multiple time zones
Self-motivated and proactive team player with entrepreneurial mindset
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
Eligible to work in the UK or Spain
