Role Description

Video Editor Volunteer

Bring Africa Ohana's programs, events, and community stories to life on screen, editing raw footage into polished videos that inform, inspire, and grow our reach across YouTube and social media. Most of our video and design assets are created in Canva, so familiarity with Canva (or willingness to learn) is an advantage.

This is a flexible, part-time, fully remote volunteer role, work from anywhere in the world, on a schedule that fits around your commitments.

• Edit recorded sessions, webinars, and event footage for our YouTube channel
• Create engaging intros, outros, and channel branding elements
• Design eye-catching thumbnails that boost click-through and views
• Cut and repurpose long-form content into short-form video posts for YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, and other social channels
• Maintain a consistent visual style and brand identity across all video content
• Collaborate with the Content & Storytelling team to align videos with key messages and campaigns
• Manage video files and turnaround deadlines for timely publishing

Nice to have: Experience with Canva's video editing tools, most of our video and design assets are created and stored in Canva, so familiarity with the platform helps you hit the ground running. Not mandatory, but a plus.
