What we're looking for

A US-based leader in data-driven baseball and softball player development is looking for a Video Editor to join its content team. This company combines cutting-edge technology, biomechanics research, and innovative training methods to help athletes at every level train smarter and develop faster. You'll turn raw footage into polished, platform-ready videos that bring a proven training methodology to life.

What You'll Be Doing

• Edit 20+ short-form videos monthly for Instagram, YouTube Shorts, TikTok, and Twitter/X, most running from 30 seconds to a few minutes.
• Help produce 1 to 3 longer-form YouTube videos monthly, including athlete stories and methodology explainers.
• Execute creative for 2 to 3 ad campaigns monthly.
• Work from briefs, hooks, and scripts provided by the in-house content team, adapting edits across platforms while keeping brand consistency.
• Keep project progress updated in Notion and communicate proactively via Slack.
• Push back on creative direction when you see a way to raise the quality of the final cut.

Requirements

• A portfolio demonstrating strong video editing skills (sports or performance content strongly preferred).
• Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro (non-negotiable).
• A strong sense of pacing, story structure, and social-native formats.
• Comfort turning briefs, hooks, and scripts into polished, deadline-ready edits.
• Reliable async communication and the ability to meet deadlines independently.
• Clean, organized file management habits.
• Based in the Americas, with at least 4 hours of overlap with both PST and EST.

Nice to Have

• Working knowledge of After Effects, Photoshop, and Lightroom.
• 1 to 2 years of professional editing experience.
• Familiarity with YouTube and short-form social performance.
• Interest in sports or fitness content (baseball a plus).
• Experience with caption workflows or transcription tools, and openness to AI-assisted editing tools.
