Video Editor

We are looking for a Video Editor who can turn raw footage, creative concepts, and visual assets into compelling video content that captures attention and communicates a strong story.

About the Role

As a Video Editor, you will be responsible for editing and producing high-quality video content for social media, digital campaigns, brand activations, presentations, and other creative projects.

You will work closely with our creative, design, animation, and accounts teams to bring concepts to life while maintaining PLAI's creative standards and each client's brand identity.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit short-form and long-form video content for social media, digital campaigns, events, and client presentations
• Transform raw footage, graphics, animations, and other assets into polished video outputs
• Create engaging edits with strong pacing, storytelling, transitions, sound design, and visual effects
• Adapt videos into different formats and aspect ratios for various platforms
• Add subtitles, captions, motion graphics, music, sound effects, and other post-production elements
• Ensure videos follow brand guidelines and project requirements
• Collaborate with designers, animators, creatives, and project teams to execute creative concepts
• Review feedback and make revisions efficiently while meeting deadlines
• Organize and manage project files, footage, assets, and final outputs
• Stay updated on current video editing, social media, and content trends
• Explore AI-powered tools and new technologies that can improve video production workflows

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of experience as a Video Editor or in a similar role
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro
• Working knowledge of After Effects is a strong advantage
• Good understanding of video storytelling, pacing, composition, and visual flow
• Knowledge of basic color correction, audio mixing, and video optimization
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency across multiple projects
• Ability to interpret creative briefs and translate concepts into effective video content
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• A portfolio or showreel demonstrating your editing skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, Photoshop, or Illustrator
• Experience creating TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other social-first content
• Experience working with brands, advertising agencies, events, or digital campaigns
• Motion graphics and animation skills
• Experience editing event highlights, corporate videos, commercials, or branded content
• Familiarity with AI video generation and AI-assisted editing tools
• Basic understanding of cinematography and video production
