Position Overview

StaffHero is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor to produce engaging, high-quality video content for social media, marketing campaigns, websites, advertisements, and other digital platforms.

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, visual composition, and current social media trends. Experience with AI-powered video tools is highly preferred, as the role will involve using both traditional editing software and emerging AI technologies to create content efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit short-form and long-form video content for social media, marketing, websites, and digital campaigns.
• Transform raw footage into engaging and polished videos.
• Create videos for platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
• Add captions, subtitles, transitions, motion graphics, sound effects, music, and visual effects.
• Create engaging hooks and maintain strong pacing throughout videos.
• Repurpose long-form content into short-form clips and social media content.
• Collaborate with marketing, content, and creative teams to develop video concepts.
• Ensure videos follow brand guidelines and maintain consistent visual quality.
• Source and incorporate appropriate stock footage, images, music, and other creative assets.
• Manage multiple video projects while meeting deadlines.
• Stay current with video trends, editing techniques, and emerging AI tools.
• Organize and maintain video project files and creative assets.
• AI & Emerging Technology
• Utilize AI-powered video and creative tools to improve editing efficiency and content production.
• Experience with tools such as Runway, Kling, Veo, Pika, Descript, CapCut AI, Synthesia, Adobe Firefly, or similar platforms is a strong advantage.
• Use AI for tasks such as video generation, background removal, voiceovers, captions, image generation, and content enhancement.

Qualifications

Required

• 2+ years of professional video editing experience.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating video editing and storytelling skills.
• Proficiency with professional video editing software such as:
• Adobe Premiere Pro
• After Effects
• DaVinci Resolve
• Final Cut Pro
• CapCut
• Strong understanding of video pacing, storytelling, transitions, sound design, and visual composition.
• Experience creating content specifically for social media platforms.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Preferred

• Experience with AI video generation and editing tools.
• Motion graphics and animation experience.
• Experience with color grading and sound mixing.
• Basic graphic design skills.
• Experience creating video advertisements and marketing content.
• Familiarity with current TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts trends.
• Experience working with U.S.-based clients or creative/marketing agencies.
