Visual Design, Creative Execution & Storytelling
Our client is seeking a Visual & Graphics Artist who can translate ideas, narratives, and strategy into compelling visual expressions.
This role is not just about design execution. It is about visual storytelling that shapes perception, drives engagement, and elevates brands. You will be responsible for delivering high-impact, aesthetically strong, and strategically aligned creative assets across campaigns, client work, and internal brand communications.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Visual Design & Creative Execution
Develop visually compelling designs for social media content and digital campaigns.
Create corporate presentations and pitch decks.
Develop marketing and communications materials (digital & print).
Create event branding and experiential assets.
Translate briefs into strong visual concepts that align with campaign objectives.
Brand Identity & Consistency
Apply and maintain brand guidelines across multiple client accounts.
Support development of visual identity systems where required.
Ensure consistency, quality, and distinctiveness in all design outputs.
Campaign Design & Storytelling
Collaborate with strategy and content teams to bring campaign ideas to life visually.
Develop design directions that reflect African nuance, relevance, and global standards.
Contribute to ideation sessions with strong creative input.
Content Design & Adaptation
Create adaptable design templates for ongoing content needs.
Resize, adapt, and optimize assets across platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, web, print).
Ensure designs are optimized for performance and engagement.
Motion & Multimedia (Advantage)
Create basic motion graphics, animated posts, or short video edits.
Support content production for reels, presentations, and digital storytelling.
Production & Quality Control
Prepare final artwork for digital and print production.
Ensure all outputs meet technical specifications and quality standards.
Manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
Key Deliverables / KPIs
Consistently high-quality and on-brand visual outputs.
Timely delivery of campaign and client assets.
Improved engagement metrics on visual content.
Contribution to winning pitches, campaigns, and client retention.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or related field.
2–5 years experience in a creative agency or similar environment.
Strong portfolio showcasing: Social media and campaign designs; Branding and visual identity work; Presentation and editorial design.
Skills & Competencies
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
Proficiency in Figma or similar design tools.
Strong understanding of layout, typography, and color theory.
Strong understanding of digital content design and platform optimization.
Ability to interpret briefs and translate them into strong visual outputs.
Ability to interpret strategy and messaging into compelling visual formats.
Strong design sensibility with attention to detail and aesthetics.
Ability to deliver high-quality work within tight timelines.
Ability to work effectively with strategists, writers, and account teams.
Understanding of African contexts and how to reflect them authentically in design.
Motion design skills using After Effects or Premiere Pro is an advantage.
Basic video editing and content production skills.
Experience with Canva for rapid content adaptation is an advantage.
Knowledge of print production processes.
