Role Description The Volunteer Blog Content Writer role is a remote opportunity to contribute educational and insightful content to Privacy Needle’s global audience. In this role, you will research data privacy, cybersecurity, and compliance topics, and write clear, engaging blog posts, articles, and guides aligned with the platform’s editorial standards. You will support the content strategy by proposing topics, structuring long-form content, and updating existing articles for accuracy and relevance. Day-to-day tasks include drafting and revising content, proofreading for grammar and clarity, incorporating feedback from editors, and ensuring that published pieces are accessible to both technical and non-technical readers. This is a volunteer position designed to help you build subject-matter expertise, strengthen your writing portfolio, and contribute to a mission-driven initiative.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform thorough Research on data privacy, cybersecurity, and compliance topics and translate complex information into practical insights.
• Strong Web Content Writing and general Writing skills, with a focus on clear, structured, and audience-appropriate blog content.
• Experience with Content Strategy, including proposing topics, organizing articles, and aligning content with educational and awareness goals.
• Attention to detail in Proofreading, including grammar, style consistency, and factual accuracy.
• Interest or background in data privacy, cybersecurity, law, IT, or related fields; ability to learn quickly and stay updated on regulatory developments.
• Strong written communication skills in English and the ability to write for both professional and general audiences.
• Comfort working remotely, managing deadlines independently, and collaborating via digital tools.
• Previous blogging, technical writing, or journalism experience is beneficial; relevant education or training in communications, law, IT, or a related discipline is a plus but not required.
