Position Summary
The Volunteer Content Creator will support RUBAN YOUTHS by creating engaging and impactful content that promotes the organization's mission, programs, and impact. The role involves developing digital content for social media, the website, newsletters, and campaigns to raise awareness on democracy, civic participation, youth leadership, and community development.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop creative content for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, and other digital platforms.
- Write compelling captions, articles, success stories, blogs, and press releases.
- Design simple graphics, infographics, and promotional materials using tools such as Canva.
- Capture photos and videos during organizational events where applicable.
- Edit short videos and reels for campaigns and awareness activities.
- Support digital campaigns on civic education, youth leadership, democracy, and advocacy.
- Work with the Communications team to maintain a consistent brand voice and messaging.
- Develop and maintain a monthly content calendar.
- Monitor content performance and recommend improvements based on engagement metrics.
- Ensure all published content is accurate, inclusive, and aligned with the organization's values.
Qualifications
- Passion for youth development, democracy, civic engagement, and social impact.
- Experience creating content for social media or digital platforms.
- Good writing, storytelling, and communication skills.
- Basic graphic design and video editing skills.
- Familiarity with Canva, CapCut, Adobe Express, or similar tools is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and collaborate with a remote team.
