What We Need
Hong Kong Creative Open Technology Association (HKCOTA) is a non-profit tax-exempt organization / charity (Reg.# 91/13580) in Hong Kong founded in 2014. The aim of the HKCOTA is to promote Open Standards, Free and Open Source Software, Open Hardware, Free Culture Works, Open Content and Creative Commons. PyCon Hong Kong (PyCon HK) is the premier Python conference in Hong Kong, co-organized by the Hong Kong Creative Open Technology Association (HKCOTA), Open Source Hong Kong (OSHK), and the Hong Kong Python User Group, uniting Python enthusiasts to share insights and foster collaboration. Among the 50+ PyCons hosted annually worldwide across various cities and countries, PyCon HK proudly stands as a key member.The PyCon HK executive committee comprises a group of experienced elite volunteers from diverse technical backgrounds and various industries. Whether you simply want to volunteer for the greater good or meet people with similar interests, it will definitely be a fun and memorable journey, celebrating the one-of-a-kind 12th year of PyCon HK.
What We Have
We have basic branding guidelines from an experienced designer, websites of similar conferences, and previous content for your reference.
Why this is important
The key visuals and templates will be used for all future promotional materials, allowing us to further communicate our mission to the general public. Your work will be showcased to the global PyCon community, reaching audiences and inspiring peers across countries worldwide.

What We Need
- A passionate volunteer designer to create essential visual elements for PyCon HK 2026
- A flexible workload with design tasks assigned weekly by the organizing committee based on the designer's personal capacity, averaging around 5 hours per week
- Complete freedom to use any design software of choice, provided the output meets professional print and digital standards
- Reliability, active communication, and a steady commitment leading up to the main conference on November 15, 2026
- Attendance at a 30-minute briefing call and pre-event orientation to learn about PyCon HK 2026, review brand guidelines, and align on project goals
