Overview:

The Volunteer Coordination Facilitator plays a vital role in supporting the successful recruitment, communication, and placement of volunteers within organizational programs, events, and committees. This role leverages the Neon CRM volunteer management process to match volunteer needs with the right individuals and teams, ensuring timely communication and effective volunteer engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage volunteer needs across various programs, events, and committees.

  • Utilize Neon CRM to track, organize, and process volunteer opportunities and assignments.

  • Draft and distribute targeted email communications to recruit volunteers for specific roles or events.

  • Direct prospective volunteers to the appropriate team leaders or program coordinators.

  • Ensure volunteer role descriptions and opportunities are current in the Neon system.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand volunteer requirements and timelines.

  • Support onboarding of new volunteers through communication and follow-up using standardized processes.

  • Maintain accurate records of volunteer communications and placements.

These qualities and skills will be helpful:

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

  • Comfortable using CRM tools such as Neon or willing to learn.

  • Ability to write clear and compelling recruitment emails.

  • Collaborative mindset with attention to detail.

  • Previous volunteer coordination or administrative experience is a plus but not required.

Time Commitment:
Flexible; approximately 4–8 hours per week, depending on organizational needs.
