About ARSDNArk Resilience & Sustainable Development Network (ARSDN) is a youth-led community-based organization in Kenya working to build resilient communities and advance sustainable development.
ARSDN focuses on climate-resilient livelihoods, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), youth empowerment and development, community resilience, sustainable livelihoods and economic empowerment, community engagement, capacity building, partnerships and resource mobilization.

About the OpportunityARSDN is seeking a motivated, proactive and results-oriented Volunteer Resource Mobilizer to support the organization's resource mobilization, fundraising and partnership development efforts.
This is an opportunity for a graduate who is passionate about sustainable development, community development, fundraising, donor engagement and social impact and would like to gain practical experience while contributing to the growth of a community-based organization.
The successful volunteer will work remotely from home and will support ARSDN in identifying funding opportunities, developing relationships with potential donors and partners, supporting proposal development and strengthening the organization's resource mobilization systems.
The role provides an opportunity to gain practical exposure to donor research, grant opportunity identification, concept note and proposal development, fundraising, partnership development, stakeholder engagement and nonprofit resource mobilization.

Previous experience in fundraising, grant writing, donor research, business development, partnership development or nonprofit resource mobilization will be an advantage but is not mandatory.
Work ArrangementThis is a fully remote / work-from-home volunteer assignment.
The successful candidate may undertake the assignment from Kenya or another country, provided they have reliable internet access and can participate in agreed virtual meetings and deliver assigned responsibilities effectively.
ARSDN supports a flexible working arrangement based on agreed deliverables, communication requirements, deadlines and organizational priorities.

Volunteer Nature of the OpportunityThis is initially an unpaid volunteer assignment. The purpose is to provide meaningful practical experience while enabling the volunteer to contribute directly to ARSDN's resource mobilization and organizational development efforts.
Any expenses, reimbursements, stipends or other forms of support, if applicable, will be communicated separately and will depend on available organizational resources and specific activities.
Potential Future EmploymentARSDN is a growing organization, and high-performing volunteers may be considered for future full-time employment opportunities with ARSDN, subject to organizational needs, funding availability, performance, availability of suitable positions and the applicable recruitment process.
