Project Details

What We Need

• Audit our current website and broader online presence (including technical, on-page, off-page factors and GEO-relevant factors), and propose a clear, prioritised SEO roadmap for the next 3–6 months
• Conduct keyword research to identify what people in Hong Kong and the region search for around effective altruism, charity, philanthropy, global health and development, poverty alleviation and related topics, and map these to new and existing pages
• Help develop and refine content strategy to expand our reach among donors, volunteers, and other stakeholders
• Recommend and, where feasible, implement technical SEO fixes (e.g. indexing issues, sitemap and robots.txt configuration, site speed and mobile-friendliness, broken links)
• Help structure key pages (e.g. cause area overviews, programme pages, donation advice) so that generative AI systems can clearly extract accurate, up-to-date answers and cite EAHK as an authoritative source
• Collaborate with our content and social media team to ensure new articles, event pages, and resources are search-optimised and AI-friendly from the start
• Identify and help pursue low-risk, high-quality backlink opportunities (e.g. relevant directories, partner organisations, local media, EA-aligned sites) that strengthen both SEO authority and GEO signals

Effective Altruism Hong Kong is a Section 88 registered charity that helps people apply EA ideas through our programmes and effective giving guidance, building a community of people who seek to continuously investigate and take action on maximising impact through applying evidence and careful reasoning. EAHK aims to be an impact multiplier by enabling different sectors to maximise their potential to help others.

Effective Altruism Hong Kong is seeking a SEO/GEO/AEO Consultant to design and implement a search strategy that increases our organic visibility and helps more people in Hong Kong discover effective altruism ideas and opportunities, especially our GiveWise effective giving initiative.
