What We Need
- Design the navigation path/ journey: The current design is very raw, and it is not an user-friendly navigation path, please help to design it better
- Create accessible contents: Most contents are already organized and uploaded to the website, but there are some updates and references added, we want to add where the sources are from too
- Design the blog post section
- Meetings and calls to brief about the project and walkthrough the existing materials (should be not longer than 1 hour each time)
- Organize the existing contents and give suggestions
Background
Our previous website became unavailable after we lost access to the editor. As a result, we have disconnected from that platform and are now developing a new website. This new site will be designed to be more professional, visually presentable, and accessible to people with different needs.The primary audience for this website includes:Corporate partners and friendly organizationsFunders and supportersTransgender and gender diverse (TGD) peopleParents, friends, and allies of TGD individualsProfessionals from various fields who may serve TGD communities

Why this is important
The new website will be a cornerstone of Quarks Hong Kong Limited’s rebranding and organizational development. It will strengthen our visibility, present a professional identity, and make our resources more accessible to diverse audiences. By consolidating information into a responsive and user‑friendly platform, we can reduce time‑consuming conversations and replace static guides with engaging, accessible content.The site will also clarify our mission, vision, and pathways for contribution—whether through donations, volunteering, or partnerships—areas that have not been communicated systematically before. With integrated tools for volunteer recruitment, event management, and documentation, we can streamline operations while showcasing our past collaborations and experiences. This transparency will enhance credibility with corporate partners, funders, and professional allies, while creating a welcoming space for transgender and gender diverse (TGD) people, their families, and supportive organizations.Ultimately, the website will serve as both a communication hub and an operational tool, enabling Quarks to engage stakeholders more effectively, demonstrate impact, and build stronger connections within the community.

Quarks is a Hong Kong-based organization for transgender youth, founded and run entirely by trans youth volunteers. Our vision is a society where every trans youth can find their place, realize their potential, and live authentically. What Do We Do?
Providing Basic-Level Resource Support
We focus on low-touch services, offering medical information, ID card replacement guidance, and basic legal knowledge.
We connect medical, psychological, legal, and NGO resources, and provide professional service referrals.
Community Building
We organize community gatherings, workshops, and maintain safe spaces.
We collect community needs and co-develop discourse frameworks.
We connect allies and related communities (such as women, LGBTQ+, queer, non-binary, and workers’ groups) to build cross-sector collaborations.
Public Education and Narrative Reshaping
Platform for Potential Trans Youth Activists
We provide and connect promising trans youth with resources and development platforms.
Connection with Academic Fields
We engage in academic collaborations in gender studies, psychology, sociology, and public health, transforming community experiences into evidence-based data.
Advocacy and Lobbying
We advocate for policies based on community needs and evidence, promoting gender recognition systems and gender-affirming healthcare.
