Role Description Volunteering Opportunities at The SafeHub involve supporting mental health awareness campaigns, youth empowerment programs, and community outreach activities. We are looking for volunteers to help organize events, facilitate workshops, support online and in-person storytelling sessions, and assist with content creation for social media and educational materials. They may also contribute to logistics, community engagement, and administrative support as needed. This is a volunteer role with a hybrid arrangement, based in Lagos, with flexibility for some work from home. Volunteers collaborate with team members and partners to ensure that programs run smoothly and reach the intended communities.

Qualifications

• Strong interest in mental health advocacy, youth development, and community service, with a commitment to The SafeHub’s mission.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to listen empathetically and engage with diverse groups.
• Organizational and time management abilities to support events, workshops, and outreach activities effectively.
• Comfort with basic digital tools (email, social media, office applications) to assist with remote coordination and online initiatives.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team, take initiative, and adapt to changing program needs.
• Residence in or proximity to Lagos, with availability for both on-site and remote volunteer work.
• Prior volunteer, community engagement, or nonprofit experience is an advantage but not required.
