About the role

Comply is looking for a VP of Product Marketing to turn what our products do into market narratives that win enterprise deals and show up as pipeline. You’ll own positioning, messaging, go-to-market, and sales enablement across the portfolio, and act as a strategic partner to the Chief Marketing Officer, Chief Product Officer, and Chief Revenue Officer. As VP of Product Marketing, you’ll translate Comply’s capabilities into stories that resonate with financial services and compliance buyers, equip Sales and Demand Generation to carry those stories to market, and make sure the narrative drives measurable revenue, not just awareness. You’ll also build the function as Comply scales—standing up analyst relations, competitive intelligence, and customer marketing, and leading the product marketing team.

This role requires a hybrid in-office and remote work schedule, requiring a minimum 3 days/week in our Arlington, VA office.

You’ll love this role if you’re a storyteller and an operator who can set positioning strategy and still ship the briefs, battlecards, and launches. You also measure product marketing in pipeline and revenue, not just activity.

What you’ll do

  • Own differentiated positioning and messaging across Comply’s product portfolio, tailored to the buyer segments and personas in financial services and compliance.
  • Lead integrated go-to-market strategy for new product launches, market expansions, and upsell motions, in lockstep with Sales, Product, and Demand Generation.
  • Serve as Demand Generation’s strategic partner on ICP segmentation and messaging, translating positioning into campaign briefs, content direction, and audience-targeting frameworks.
  • Equip Sales to win with enablement: competitive intelligence, buyer personas, objection-handling frameworks, battlecards, and deal tools.
  • Run market and customer insights (win/loss analysis and voice-of-customer) and turn them into prioritized input for the product roadmap and sharper positioning.
  • Lead proprietary research and thought leadership that establishes Comply as the authority on compliance and fuels demand generation and sales.
  • Partner with Product and Finance on pricing and packaging, and with the PMO on coordinated, high-impact product launches.
  • Build analyst relations from the ground up and lead customer marketing, including the advocacy program (case studies, references, and testimonials).
  • Hire, develop, and lead a high-performing product marketing team, and set the function’s operating model, processes, and priorities.

What success looks like in your first 90 days

  • You’ve audited Comply’s positioning and messaging and aligned leadership on a sharpened narrative for the priority products.
  • You’ve partnered with Sales and Demand Generation on enablement and ICP segmentation that are already showing up in live deals and campaigns.
  • You’ve laid out the plan for analyst relations, competitive intelligence, and customer marketing, and you’re reporting product marketing’s pipeline impact to the executive team.

What you’ll bring

Must-have

  • 10+ years in B2B SaaS marketing, with at least 5 years in a senior product marketing leadership role.
  • Experience in, or strong familiarity with, fintech, financial services, or compliance—including the regulatory environment, buyer dynamics, and trust-based sales cycles.
  • A track record of positioning and messaging that drove measurable pipeline with complex, risk-averse enterprise buyers.
  • Experience partnering closely with Demand Generation on segmentation, differentiated positioning, and buyer-stage relevance.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership, including the ability to influence product roadmap decisions through market and customer insight.
  • Experience building and scaling a product marketing function, including hiring and developing the team.
  • The ability to connect product marketing to revenue outcomes and communicate that impact at the executive level.

Nice-to-have

  • Experience selling into or marketing to Chief Compliance Officers, Chief Risk Officers, or other senior compliance and legal decision-makers in financial services.
  • Experience at a private equity-backed or high-growth company, scaling product marketing to support rapid revenue growth.

The all-in total compensation for this role is $210,000 and $240,000, and is specific to the United States. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range would be $175,000 - $200,000 plus applicable bonus/benefit offerings, etc., as those similarly situated within the Company. It takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including, but not limited to, skill sets, training, licensure and certification, and experience.
