VTEX Developer

Excel Nearshore is seeking a VTEX Developer to support the final phase of a strategic B2B e-commerce implementation. In this role, you will build and customize the VTEX IO storefront, including product pages, checkout flows, promotions, and other customer-facing functionality. You will work within the existing platform and its established SAP ERP and InRiver PIM integrations, making enhancements without designing the integrations from scratch. This is a fully remote and full-time position.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and customize storefront components using VTEX IO (product listing/detail pages, cart, checkout, promotions, and other customer-facing features).
• Work within the existing SAP ERP and InRiver PIM data flows to implement new features and enhancements.
• Contribute to technical design decisions for new features and enhancements, not just implementation.
• Troubleshoot storefront-level issues, including those surfacing from upstream SAP/ InRiver data, across both development and production environments.
• Provide production support, investigating and resolving issues as they arise post-release.
• Follow implementation standards and technical direction set by the Team Lead.
• Collaborate with QA to validate functionality before release.
• Participate in day-to-day development work, including ongoing enhancements and support tickets.

Requirements

• End-to-end VTEX expertise, including VTEX IO, storefront development, integrations, and APIs.
• Strong React and Node.js skills.
• Enterprise ecommerce architecture experience.
• Comfort working within an established platform architecture rather than greenfield build.
• Experience with storefront customization — product pages, checkout, promotions.
• Exposure to ecommerce platforms integrated with an ERP (SAP experience a plus).
• Familiarity with PIM-driven storefronts; InRiver experience a plus, not required.
• Capable of leading technical design, development, and production support activities.
• Solid English communication skills for day-to-day collaboration with a distributed team.

Nice to Have

• Experience with B2B-specific commerce features (account hierarchies, contract pricing, quote workflows).
• Prior experience in a nearshore/ distributed delivery model.
• VTEX certification.
