About the role In this role, you will deliver engaging community education programs and behaviour change initiatives that encourage waste reduction, recycling and sustainable resource recovery. You'll work closely with residents through the kerbside bin inspection program, develop educational materials and campaigns, deliver community events, analyse program data, and provide outstanding customer service to help create a more sustainable Greater Geelong. Work type: Permanent Full-time (Part-time considered) Classification: Band 6 - 98,633 pa plus super pro rata Key responsibilities include: Communicate with and engage residents, community and other relevant stakeholders to promote correct and sustainable use of their waste services. Interpret data and craft reports regarding community needs and behaviours to inform project design, implementation and review. Contribute to a positive and inclusive team culture, by supporting change activities and actively collaborating with team members to achieve high levels of productivity. Contribute to development, implementation and reporting of team plans, policies and strategies. Execute, monitor, and report on work progress against plans and budgets to ensure timely delivery in line with the relevant regulations and policies. Support routine problem-solving and continuous improvement activities by identifying and addressing gaps and inefficiencies to minimise financial waste. About you To be successful in this role, you will have a relevant qualification in Communications, Education, Social Sciences, Behaviour Change and/or significant professional experience in a comparable organisation. You'll also be organised, customer focused and confident designing and delivering education programs, campaigns and community initiatives. Essential: Demonstrated people and customer service skills to support, influence, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders. Highly developed writing and speaking skills. Demonstrated experience in campaign design, delivery and/or policy development. Experience in planning and delivering education programs, training and community events. Good problem solving and stakeholder management skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders to achieve task outcomes. Well-developed planning and time management ability. Current Victorian Driver’s licence. Current Working with Children Check (Employee). Preferred candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check assessment as part of the recruitment process (funded by the City).
