Medical Biller | Remote Position

About the Role

JVP Management is seeking an experienced Medical Biller to join our team and support U.S.-based healthcare operations. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with U.S. medical billing, insurance claims, denials and appeals, and is comfortable communicating with healthcare providers and insurance carriers.

This is a full-time remote position working during U.S. business hours (EST).

Key Responsibilities

• Process and submit medical claims to Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance carriers.
• Review claims for accuracy using CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes.
• Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and manage the appeals process.
• Post payments and reconcile accounts.
• Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and payer-specific billing guidelines.
• Communicate with healthcare providers, front-office staff, and insurance carriers to resolve billing discrepancies.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of U.S. medical billing experience (required).
• Experience using U.S. medical billing software and EHR platforms such as Kareo, AdvancedMD, athenahealth, or similar.
• Strong understanding of the claims, denials, and appeals cycle.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Reliable internet connection and a quiet home workspace.
• Availability to work U.S. business hours (EST).

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with medical billing for:

• Personal Injury cases
• Pain Management practices
• Orthopedic practices

Work Arrangement

Remote | Full-Time

Schedule: Monday through Friday, U.S. business hours (EST)
