In this position, you will be primarily responsible for the backend development of Web GIS applications that utilize satellite imagery and geospatial information.

The company does more than just develop the satellites themselves; it creates products that leverage data generated from its own satellites, data from third-party satellites and ground devices, and existing open-source data.

In recent years, the volume of accessible data acquired by Earth observation satellites has increased significantly. However, for users in fields like agriculture and environmental management—who should naturally benefit from this information—the process of acquiring satellite data requires extensive prerequisite knowledge and remains difficult. Furthermore, even if data is obtained, extracting meaningful insights from raw data demands high levels of expertise, creating a significant barrier to entry. Consequently, Earth observation data is not being fully utilized despite its immense potential to solve social issues.

As a satellite operator, the company believes in solving social challenges by utilizing appropriate data—including Earth observation data—from a user-centric perspective rather than a data-centric one. By combining data from different satellites and sensors with ground-based IoT data, and applying these to various countries, regions, and business domains, there is a massive potential to create unprecedented solutions. To achieve this, the company aims to remove existing barriers by providing information on marine environmental degradation or agricultural and forest management in a format that end-users can understand intuitively. Within this framework, the company focuses on creating new products for diverse challenges and driving business development based on direct user feedback.

【Responsibilities】

・Backend development for Web GIS applications and related services.

・Pipeline construction for acquiring and processing data for Web GIS, as well as the development and operation of tile delivery servers.

・Development of Proof of Concepts (PoC) for businesses utilizing satellite data and geospatial information.
