About the Role
eCommission has been the largest commission advance provider in residential real estate for more than 25 years, and we're investing heavily in technology and new products to expand what we deliver to agents and brokers. Our growth means more campaigns, more partner programs, more events, and more content than ever, all moving at once.
The Marketing Web Developer owns the day-to-day health and performance of the eCommission website. You'll make sure every page is tracked properly and every campaign lands on a page built to convert. You'll write the code, build the templates, and ship the pages yourself. This role reports to our Chief Marketing Officer and works closely with our IT and development teams, operations, and outside agencies. You'll be accountable for measurable results: tracked, reported, and improved every month.
Is This You?
- You're a hands-on builder who is happy writing PHP and working in WordPress, not just managing someone else's code.
- You've set up tracking (GA4, Google Tag Manager, pixels) and can tell whether the data is trustworthy.
- You love finding out what makes a page convert, and you've run A/B tests with results you can put numbers on.
- You get excited about building a landing page in days, not weeks.
- You're comfortable in HubSpot: forms, tracking, and CRM data. You don't have to be an expert, but you aren't learning the basics from scratch.
- You like making sure leads land in the CRM clean, complete, and tied back to their source.
- You work well with marketers and can translate between "what we want" and "how we build it."
- You care about page speed, mobile responsiveness, and a site that stays up.
- You'd rather show your work than describe it. You can walk us through pages or code you've built.
- Bonus: you have front-end chops (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and an eye for clean, modern design.
Core Responsibilities
Web Development and Templates
- Code and maintain website pages hands-on in our PHP and WordPress environment, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. This is a builder role, not a coordinator role.
- Create reusable page templates for campaigns, landing pages, and content, so new pages ship in days, not weeks.
- Keep the codebase clean and consistent, with version control so changes are traceable.
- Own the staging-to-production workflow for page changes, including QA across devices and browsers before anything goes live.
Tracking and Analytics
- Own our tracking setup end to end: Google Tag Manager, GA4, conversion tracking, call tracking, and pixels for paid channels.
- Make sure every form fill, signup, and funnel step is tracked accurately and tied back to source, so we know which channels and campaigns produce funded advances, not just clicks.
- Audit tracking regularly and fix gaps before they become blind spots in reporting.
Landing Page Optimization
- Design, code, test, and maintain landing pages for paid media, partner programs, and email campaigns.
- Set up and run a continuous A/B testing program on headlines, forms, offers, and layouts, and document what wins.
- Improve conversion across the signup funnel using real user behavior data, such as heatmaps and session recordings.
HubSpot and CRM Data
- Install and maintain the HubSpot tracking code, aligned with Google Tag Manager and cookie consent requirements.
- Build and embed HubSpot forms, CTAs, and pop-ups on site pages, with hidden fields capturing source, campaign, and page context.
- Map website and signup data into HubSpot so leads land in the right place with clean properties.
- Workflow and campaign automation are owned by our Marketing Manager. This role makes sure the website data feeding them is right.
SEO and Site Health
- Contribute to organic search performance through on-page optimization, technical SEO, redirects, sitemaps, page speed, and Core Web Vitals.
- Run periodic SEO audits and own the fix list through to completion.
- Help improve how eCommission appears in AI-generated answers through structured content, schema markup, and FAQs.
Additional Responsibilities
- Manage the CMS, keep the page inventory current, and monitor uptime, performance, and security basics.
- Partner with IT when work touches infrastructure, security, or deployments, and coordinate with outside developers or agencies as needed.
- Work with legal and compliance to keep disclosures and state-specific language accurate, and keep the site moving toward WCAG accessibility standards. As a financial services company, this is not optional for us.
- Deliver a monthly website performance report covering traffic, conversions, test results, and SEO, with recommendations, not just numbers.
- Build pages and forms for product launches, partner co-marketing, events, and seasonal campaigns on marketing deadlines.
Qualifications
Required
- 2+ years of hands-on web development with PHP and WordPress (custom PHP or a similar CMS is fine). We'll ask you to walk through work you've built.
- Experience building and maintaining reusable page templates.
- Comfortable with version control, staging environments, and deploying changes to a live site safely.
- Hands-on experience with Google Tag Manager and GA4, and implementing tracking on a live site.
- Experience running A/B tests or conversion optimization on a live site, with results you can speak to.
- Working knowledge of HubSpot: forms, tracking, and CRM data. You don't need to be an expert, but we aren't able to teach the basics.
- Experience working with or inside a marketing team, building pages that serve campaigns rather than product features.
Preferred (would make you a standout)
- Front-end development skills: strong HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, responsive design, and a good eye for UX. 1 to 2 years is plenty.
- Technical SEO knowledge and a track record of SEO results.
- HubSpot development experience: HubL templates, Forms and CRM APIs, or a HubSpot developer certification.
- Familiarity with AI visibility or generative engine optimization.
- Experience with heatmap and session recording tools such as Hotjar or Microsoft Clarity.
- Experience in real estate, fintech, or another regulated industry.
