Job Description Summary
All resources, and logistics required to perform services and maintenance activities on customers' site/property. These activities contribute to, maintain, repair and refurbish sold or existing products. Includes all types of maintenance service (preventive and remedial), manage maintenance facilities and field services engineering. Impacts approaches, projects and programs in the functional area or affected business organization and ways of working. Impacts quality, efficiency and effectiveness of own team. Has significant input into priorities. Guided by professional practices and policies that are shaped by the role. The role has moderate autonomy, requiring high levels of operational judgment.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- People Leadership
- Provide leadership to support a multi-site service hub. Initiate and support staffing requirements, coaching, training, and corrective action concerning employees and contracted partners, including succession planning.
- Own the safety culture within the hub, inclusive of contracted partners and customers.
- Execute daily Plan of the Day calls, to include prioritizing and managing a dispatch schedule.
- Customer Point of Contact
- Customer focused approach to build long term relationships with customers to deliver business objectives and meet contractual requirements.
- Partner with CPD | Customer Performance Director
- Escalate customer concerns with priority.
- Partner with cross-functional teams like Sales, Commercial Operations, Sourcing, Finance, and HR to meet the deliverables.
- Turbine Return to Service
- Prioritize turbine performance to meet/exceed performance commitments.
- Multi-Site Leadership
- Be innovative and engaged in all areas of facility operations, aligned with individual site plans, to include creative problem solving with a LEAN mindset.
- Lead operations within a multi-site service hub ensuring weekly visits to each site:
- Drive a safety focus.
- Continue to grow customer relationships.
- Team engagement and talent development.
Qualifications/Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience field services inclusive of leadership.
- Ability and willingness to travel within the hub, which may require overnights.
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
Desired Characteristics
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Technical Certification in Wind Energy or Electrical/Electronic field preferred.
- Advanced computer skills utilizing word and spreadsheet processing, e-mail programs, facility control and management systems, and computer diagnostic and troubleshooting tools.
- Wind turbine or energy industry experience.
