WordPress Developer

WordPress remains a practical choice for many of our clients’ marketing sites and content platforms. Happy Horizon is looking for a WordPress Developer who can build custom themes, configure plugins thoughtfully, and integrate sites with marketing tools, forms, and analytics. You work in project teams from Gennep and home, partnering with designers, frontend developers, and SEO specialists. You handle theme development, Gutenberg blocks, performance tuning, and staging-to-production workflows. When off-the-shelf solutions are enough, you say so; when custom work is needed, you deliver maintainable code that client teams or our support colleagues can manage after launch. This role suits someone who cares about editor experience as much as front-end polish. What you bring Three or more years of WordPress development including custom themes and PHP templating Experience with Gutenberg, ACF, or comparable content modelling approaches Understanding of performance, caching, security updates, and hosting considerations Ability to collaborate with designers on responsive layouts and accessible markup Professional communication in Dutch or English; WooCommerce experience is welcome
