Work Preparation Engineer – Tooling Validation & Technical Documentation
Responsibilities
Functions to develop:
- Manufacturing processes
- E BOM, M BOM - Assembly process planning , Routing Creation and Standard operating instruction creation Etc.
- Assembly tooling Validation.
- Workshop support
Qualifications
Any Graduation / Diploma in Engineering / Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME), or an equivalent technical qualification is preferred.
Essential skills
Understand assembly tooling requirements, tooling selection, validation, and usage during manufacturing and assembly operations.
Review and validate engineering drawings, Bills of Materials (BOM), and technical manufacturing documentation.
Validate tooling registers and tooling data for manufacturing readiness.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, work instructions, and shop floor deliverables.
Support tooling change management and configuration control activities.
Coordinate with Manufacturing, Design, and Production teams to resolve tooling-related issues.
Demonstrate a good understanding of assembly processes, manufacturing methods, and process planning, including the creation and modification of Standard Operating Instructions (SOIs) and released manufacturing processes
Participate in Multi-Functional Teams (MFT) / Cross-Functional Teams (CFT) for risk analysis, issue resolution, and continuous process improvement.
Analyze 2D engineering drawings and 3D Digital Mock-Ups (DMU), perform manufacturability and feasibility assessments, and provide technical feedback to the Design Office on tolerancing, geometry, key characteristics, torque values, and manufacturing improvements.
Possess good knowledge of engineering drawing interpretation, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and manufacturing principles.
Familiar with aerospace manufacturing standards, configuration management, engineering change management, and product lifecycle processes is advantage

Experience
Lead / Senior Manufacturing Engineer: 6–10 years of relevant experience
Manufacturing Engineer: 1–3 years of relevant experience
Experience in the aerospace or aerostructure industry/Tooling Engineering background is an added advantage.
Experience with tooling validation, technical documentation, and production support is an added advantage.
