Description: The role used to manager both shipboard and shore-based employees and they gave the shore based responsibilities to one person and now they are hiring someone to just manage the shipboard compensation.

Shipboard Compensation | Workday Implementation

Seeking a seasoned, hands-on Workday Compensation Manager to support NCL’s shipboard compensation program and the final push toward a January 1 go-live for a compensation reimplementation.

This role focuses on complex, union-based shipboard compensation, where pay rates, allowances, bonuses, and other compensation elements vary by job and collective bargaining agreement (CBA). The manager will lead final integration testing between Workday Compensation and the MAPS crew management and scheduling system, identify configuration issues, and drive the systems integrator (SI) to resolve defects quickly.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead final testing and validation of Workday Compensation and MAPS integrations.

· Validate compensation configurations, union rules, CBAs, pay rates, allowances, and bonuses.

· Identify issues, drive timely resolution with the SI, and support go-live readiness.

· Partner with HR, HRIS, HR Technology, and Compensation teams to ensure accurate compensation outcomes.

· Provide hands-on leadership while managing contractors and potentially 1–2 direct reports.

Ideal Candidate:

· Experienced Workday Compensation Manager with implementation experience in a complex environment.

· Strong understanding of unionized compensation structures and collective bargaining agreements.

· Experience with shipboard, maritime, or similarly complex workforce compensation is highly desirable.

· Background in HR, HRIS, or HR Technology, with experience partnering closely with Compensation teams.

· Proven integration testing, configuration validation, and systems integrator management experience.

· U.S. union experience preferred

· Payroll experience with other countries is also a big plus.
