Role Description This is a 100% remote position supporting a California-based law firm, working Los Angeles business hours Monday through Friday. This position is responsible for managing workers' compensation claims from initial intake through resolution, including gathering documentation, reviewing medical records, and coordinating with attorneys, insurance representatives, and clients. Daily tasks include tracking claim status, updating case files, preparing summaries and reports, and ensuring deadlines and procedural requirements are met. The Case Manager will communicate regularly with clients to provide updates, clarify next steps, and obtain necessary information, while supporting attorneys with case preparation and follow-up. The role also involves identifying process improvements, adhering to firm policies, and contributing to a collaborative team environment.

What you'll do

• Manage an active caseload of California workers' compensation files from intake through resolution
• Coordinate depositions, QME evaluations, and medical treatment authorization
• Communicate daily with applicants, claims adjusters, and defense counsel
• Keep case management systems accurate and up to date
• Juggle multiple deadlines without letting anything slip through the cracks

What we are looking for

• Strong administrative/office experience — you know how to run a process, not just follow one
• Legal experience preferred, ideally in California workers' compensation
• Fully bilingual (C1 English/ Native Spanish), written and spoken
• Excellent time management — comfortable owning a full caseload independently
• Strong critical thinking and reading comprehension — you enjoy reading and thinking through problems, not just checking boxes
• Reliable, quiet home workspace and stable internet connection
• Available full-time, Monday–Friday, during Los Angeles business hours

Nice to have

• Prior experience in Personal Injury (PI) intake or Workers' Compensation (WC) case management
• Familiarity with Medical Provider Networks (MPN), QME panels, and CA WC procedure
