Job Overview: As a Workflow Analyst (Technical Business Analyst) , you will take full ownership of discovering current operational processes and transforming them into automated Agentic AI Workflows within a complex, multi-layered technical architecture. Operating within a cross-functional team, you will be uniquely paired with AI Agents to accelerate requirement gathering, system integration mapping, and dynamic workflow design. You will leverage AI for process mining to define system states, establish authorization rules, and map business logic to API integrations and database constraints. While AI tools will assist you in drafting state machines and technical documentation, you hold the final accountability for business logic, Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) handoff design, technical edge cases, and system compliance. Key Responsibilities: AI Process Mining Independently lead Process Discovery sessions with stakeholders across various departments (Business, Delivery, HR, Finance, Marketing, etc.). Utilize AI Process Mining to automatically extract business flows from meeting transcripts with domain experts and raw documents, focusing your effort on reviewing, validating, and refining rather than building from scratch. Resolve conflicting business requirements and clarify ambiguous logic to align on a unified solution. Agentic Workflow Modeling & System Integration Apply Systems Thinking to design comprehensive state machines, Dynamic Routing flows, and end-to-end workflows for multi-tier platforms. Translate business workflows into System Integration Designs , mapping out API calls (REST, GraphQL, Webhooks), data payloads, and defining Synchronous vs. Asynchronous operations. Handle complex process flows, including multi-level approvals (matrix, skip-level), delegation, and escalation paths. Define Technical Edge Cases by designing error handling, retry mechanisms, fallbacks, and dead-letter queues, moving beyond "happy path" mapping. Stakeholder Facilitation & Domain Interpretation Independently lead and facilitate 2-3 workflow discovery sessions per week with 3-5 stakeholders and domain experts. Act as the technical bridge, translating tacit domain knowledge and cultural context into explicit Database ERDs (Entity-Relationship Diagrams) and Logic/Service Layer requirements. Build consensus and resolve conflicts between domain experts and Technical Architects in real-time. Cross-Ops Harmony & Advanced Security Design Identify common workflow patterns across different systems and standardize workflow primitives (approval, escalation, audit). Design Identity & Access Management (IAM) matrices, implementing deep Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC) at the backend level, rather than just UI surface permissions. Coordinate with other WAs to ensure workflow standardization respects System Constraints like API rate limits, database locks, and concurrency issues. Workflow Evolution & Continuous Simulation Track workflow version history, perform diff analysis, and identify "workflow drift." Implement Continuous System Simulation alongside AI Agents to test workflows dynamically before development, catching bottlenecks early instead of waiting for traditional UAT Human vs. AI Agent Collaboration (The Dyad Model) Your Core Responsibilities (Human Judgment) Technical & Domain Translation: Translating strategic goals, multi-layer system constraints, and tacit knowledge into precise system logic. Dynamic Guardrails Design: Setting boundaries, constraints, and fallback mechanisms for AI agents operating in non-deterministic flows. Ambiguity & Conflict Resolution: Clarifying contradictory requirements and making final decisions on user permissions and deep IAM compliance. Edge Case Judgment: Assessing technical risks and making business decisions on rare operational scenarios or API failures. AI Agent-Assisted Tasks (AI Proposes, Human Decides) Extracting actors, information, and process steps from transcripts to generate initial workflows (~75% time saved). Drafting initial state diagrams, Database ERDs, and Integration maps, while detecting missing logical steps. Flagging potential gaps in authorization matrices or missing technical escalation paths. Assisting in writing technical specifications (BRD/PRD) for the Engineering team. Key Requirements: System Integration & Modeling: Extensive experience with technical workflow design (BPMN, UML, Sequence Diagrams, State Machines) and advanced modeling tools (Entity-Relationship Diagrams (ERD), Data Flow Diagrams). AI Agentic Workflow: Deep understanding of designing Human-in-the-Loop workflows, Agent-to-Agent interactions, and shifting from static rule-based flows to dynamic, context-driven automation. Technical Fluency: Solid understanding of multi-tier architectures, API mapping, data payloads, system constraints, and error handling mechanisms. Stakeholder Management: Exceptional technical communication, workshop facilitation, and the ability to bridge the gap between Business Domain Owner and Technical Leads. Data Analysis & Process Mining: Ability to interpret system data, leverage AI to analyze operational bottlenecks, and make data-driven product decisions. Qualifications & Career Path: Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience working as a Technical Business Analyst, System Analyst. Deep experience with complex enterprise systems, API integrations, and multi-layer architectures is highly preferred. English Communication: Strong proficiency in English to effectively facilitate workshops, align with cross-functional technical stakeholders, and document specifications.
