Workflow Automation Assistant

JHC Consulting is a private advisory practice focused on governance and strategic counsel for chief executives and board committees. We currently have a mandate to support an established Italian infrastructure group with a series of long term strategic reviews. To support this work, we are hiring a Workflow Automation Assistant. This is a permanent, full time role conducted on a fully remote basis. The position involves managing the technical systems that underpin our research and drafting processes, ensuring that our principals can focus on the discipline of the written word.

The Role
In this position, you will be responsible for the technical infrastructure that supports our analytical work. Because we refuse to use slide decks or standard consulting templates, our workflow relies on the organized collection and synthesis of raw data into written memoranda. Your day to day activities will involve the following:

• Setting up and maintaining automated workflows to pull data from corporate databases and regulatory filings.
• Configuring research tools to alert the team to specific changes in the infrastructure sector or legislative updates.
• Ensuring that the various software platforms we use for document drafting and version control communicate effectively with one another.
• Building simple databases to house the historical records of the Italian infrastructure group we are currently advising.
• Assisting in the digital organization of our library of signed memoranda and supporting evidence.
• Monitoring automated data pipelines to ensure that information is accurate and flows into the correct analytical folders.
• Troubleshooting basic technical issues for a remote team to keep our research cycles moving without interruption.

What You Bring
We are looking for a candidate at the start of their career who possesses a high degree of technical curiosity and a respect for intellectual rigor. You do not need years of professional history, but you must be comfortable with the logic of automation. We value the following attributes:

• A basic understanding of automation tools like Zapier, Make, or similar no-code platforms.
• Familiarity with structured data and how to move information between different software applications.
• A clear and direct writing style, as every member of our firm must be able to communicate complex ideas in plain English.
• The ability to follow logic chains and understand how a change in one part of a system affects the final output.
• An interest in how technology can support the traditional work of corporate analysis and strategic counsel.
• Willingness to learn the specific nuances of the infrastructure and asset management sectors.
• A disciplined approach to work, with the ability to manage your own schedule in a remote environment.
