Workforce Analytics Consultant – HR Reporting & Analytics

Mutual of Omaha is seeking a Workforce / People Analytics Consultant to translate complex workforce questions into clear, actionable insights that drive people strategy and business performance across Mutual of Omaha.

This role plays a critical part in building and maturing our people analytics capabilities — moving beyond operational reporting to serve as a true analytics consultant to HR leaders and business partners. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to shape data-driven decisions across the full employee lifecycle, from attraction through retention.

This is an analytics consulting role, not a systems administration or report-writer position — we're looking for someone who treats workforce data as a question to investigate, not just a report to deliver.

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:

  • Estimated Salary (Levels have variable responsibilities and qualifications):
    • $85,000 - $97,000, plus annual bonus opportunity.
  • 401(k) plan with a 2% company contribution and 6% company match.
  • Work-life balance with vacation, personal time and paid holidays. See our benefits and perks page for details.
  • Applicants for this position must not now, nor at any point in the future, require sponsorship for employment.

This role is classified as remote; however, periodic in-person attendance will be required at times for activities such as quarterly or project planning, training, or other business-critical meetings

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Partner with HR leaders and business partners to convert ambiguous workforce questions into testable hypotheses, structured analyses, and evidence-based recommendations that inform people strategy — not just reporting requirements.
  • Conduct analysis on workforce data to identify trends, patterns, and key drivers impacting attraction, retention, engagement, and overall workforce effectiveness.
  • Build, enhance, and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations that provide clear, actionable insights, ensuring solutions are user-friendly, accurate, and aligned to business needs.
  • Establish strong working relationships across HR and the business, influencing adoption of reporting tools and promoting a data-driven culture.
  • Assess and rationalize existing reports, eliminate redundancies, and support data governance practices to ensure consistent definitions, quality, and appropriate use of HR data.
  • Evaluate existing reporting processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce manual effort, and standardize approaches through automation and better design.
  • Explore and apply modern technologies, including AI and advanced analytics tools, to improve reporting efficiency, enhance insights, and evolve analytics capabilities.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • Experience applying statistical methods (e.g., trend and driver analysis, hypothesis testing, predictive or regression-based modeling) to workforce or organizational data
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Experience in HR functional areas to deeply understand processes and data
  • Experience with HR data and workforce metrics
  • Experience building reports in Workday, Visier, Tableau, or Power BI, or similar analytics/visualization platforms
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management
  • Ability to build internal and external relationships at multiple levels
  • Displays a proactive approach to addressing change, adaptability to various assignments, and a willingness to learn and apply new skills and technologies

VALUABLE EXPERIENCE:

  • Advanced degree or applied background in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Applied Statistics, or Data Science, with demonstrated use of regression, psychometric methods, or predictive modeling on workforce data
  • Experience in HR analytics or HR technology
  • Experience with Workday, Visier, Tableau, or Power BI. Visier (preferred); Workday or comparable cloud HCM platform experience a plus
  • Knowledge of Agile or SDLC

We value diverse experience, skills, and passion for innovation. If your experience aligns with the listed requirements, please apply!
