The Year Placements Officer will join the Careers and Employability Directorate at City St George’s, University of London, supporting undergraduate students to secure and thrive upon year placements. Working within the newly established Year Placements team, you will help deliver a consistently high-quality service to eligible students across the University, enabling them to understand the opportunity of doing a year placement, produce excellent applications to secure placements and maximise their experience on placement.
You will provide advice, guidance and administrative support throughout the year placement lifecycle. This includes promoting placement opportunities, delivering workshops and events, supporting students with applications and compliance processes, maintaining placement records, engaging with employers and monitoring student progress on placement. You will work collaboratively with academic and professional services colleagues to ensure an excellent student experience.
You will have experience delivering advice and guidance to diverse stakeholders, together with strong communication, organisation and relationship-building skills. Knowledge of the UK student and graduate labour market is essential. You will be confident managing competing priorities, using data to inform service improvements, and working collaboratively to support student success. A commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion is essential.
